NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm Review & Swatches

Hello Everyone,
Today I am reviewing NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm. I hauled it a while back you can read about that here. Let see how it fares out.

Product Description - Neither lipstick nor lip gloss this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and unlike some matte lipstick formulas also moisturising.

Price – 6 USD

Performance – NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm is a burnt peachy shade. These are soft and creamy in consistency and goes on smoothly. The Soft Matte Lip Creams are very nice on the lips but they are MATTE products, they are not moisturizing and they are not like balm. But unlike most matte products, this doesn't dry out the lips. In fact, after it dries it feels like nothing is on the lips not balm, not gloss, not a drying lipstick. Very lightweight and long lasting. These are very pigmented and can cover pigmented or discoloured lips.  One of the best parts is once it sets it doesn't transfer. That's right it’s kiss proof and no rings on the coffee mugs. Needs touching up after a meal and it easily last for 5-6 hours.

I bought this shade in hunt for a perfect nude lipstick. The colour in the bottle looks so pretty but it didn't looked the same on the lips. On it’s own it completely washes out my complexion and doesn’t look flattering on me. I like to layer it with a nude/peachy gloss on top.

The Good:
  • Creamy and smooth
  • Nice shade range
  • Affordable
  • Doesn't dry out your lips
  • Pigmented
  • Doesn't transfer
  • Long lasting
  • Lightweight
The Bad:
  • Shade doesn't look good on me.
When I bought the shade I knew it could be hit or a miss. As is the case with most nude lipsticks but the formula of these is great. I like how light weight and long lasting these are and the best thing is they do not transfer. Keep in mind they are matte, though the formula is non drying but if you have dry chapped lips then prepping your lips is a must with this product.

  1. Everything is so good about this matte lip cream except the shade. One has to be extra careful while choosing the shades.
