Today I am sharing with you guys what I got in my September Glossybox. Theme of this month’s glossybox is a luxurious celebration for autumn.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box which contains five luxury beauty products shipped to your door. Glossybox generally ship in the second half of the month. Sometimes its last week of the month.

The September 2016 Glossybox contains following item:

UNIVERSAL BEAUTY Secret Flush – Beautiful cream blush with lot of lustre. Can be used both as rouge and lipstick. Apply it on the high points of your cheeks and blend it with your fingers for a light toning.

It is a pinkish coral shade which I think will suit most skin tones. Very creamy formula and easy to blend. It is a full size product and it retails for 23 USD.

THE BROWGAL Eyebrow Gel – The gel is transparent and waterproof so you can swim or dance it will stay put. Brows will be ‘on fleek’ whole night. Brush and shape brows the way you like, works well together with other brow products.

Every other month there is a brow product in the glossybox. Not that I am complaining I like trying out new brow products and glossybox collaborates with amazing brands. I have been into tinted brow gels lately so this will be a bit different. It is a 5ml tube and full size tube has 6.5 ml and retails for 20 USD.

BEE NATURAL 100% Natural Lip Balm `Pomegranate`- This creamy lip balm has a yummy smell of pomegranate and help protect your lips against harsh weather and wind. Beeswax has anti- bacterial properties and helps cracked lips heal quickly.

Who doesn’t like a lip balm and this one is made out of 100% natural ingredients and the colder months are just around the corner so this will be a great product to keeps your lips moisturised. It is a full size product and retails for 5 USD.

OCTOBER STOCKHOLM Longwear Matte Lipstick – A lipstick with velvety formula which applies evenly and gives a longwearing matte finish. Apply directly on the lips or use a pencil for a more defined look.

A beautiful berry shade lipstick which is perfect for this time of the year. Though the finish of this matte the formula feels very moisturising on the lips and not at all drying. It is a full size products and retails for 28 USD.

KNEIPP Massage Oil Joint & Muscle Arnica – Kneipps massage oil has a relaxing effect on the muscles. Free from artificial colouring and preservatives and free from mineral oils. Use directly on the skin or as a bath oil.

A brand that uses natural ingredients for all its products and is famous all over the world. I love using oils and especially in the colder months so this will come in handy. I Like that it can be used both as massage oil/bath oil. It is a sample size bottle of 20 ml. The full size bottle retails for 12 USD.

This month’s box is amazing. All the products look great and I am so excited to try them out. This box costs around 16 USD and all the items are worth 83 USD. I think that is a pretty good deal. I will do the full reviews and keep you guys posted.

Performance: Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Eyeliner is a dual ended pencil. On one end is the brow pencil and on the other is the highlight. The brow pencil is a taupe shade and the highlighter is a creamy nude shade. This brow pencil comes in a single shade and the brand says it has colour adjusting technique so a single shade will be suitable for all. This is the kind of shade that I used to go for before KIKO precision eyebrow pencil. This particular shade makes your brows look so natural. The texture of this pencil is soft and creamy yet stiff enough that it doesn’t crumbles. Formula of this feels a bit waxy in comparison to my other brow pencil but it provides a nice hold and brows stay in place quite nicely.

The lasting power of this is good as well, it stays put all day long on me and doesn’t fade or smudge. The pencil is not very slim or fine so the precision application is a bit tricky and the tip loses it shape after few applications but that’s not a big issue you can sharpen it to get a fine tip.

Highlighter is good too, has the same creamy texture and blends quite nicely. You can use it to highlight your brow bone or go around the edges of your brow to get clean lines and make your brows look more defined. I have used it on my waterline as well and it works perfectly. The shade is not too harsh and doesn’t look weird on the waterline. It cancels all the redness and brightens up the eyes and makes you look more awake, perfect for early mornings.

Really nice brow pencil and I love how natural it looks. I am glad I got to try this because otherwise I would have never got this myself. I don’t think I will repurchase it because it is quite pricey and there are so many other ones that I want to try out.

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in Black Review

Today I am reviewing Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in Black for you guys. Rodial is a high end luxury skincare and makeup brand loved by many celebrities. I got this in my July Glossybox and was really excited about this product. Let’s see how this one fared out.

Product Description: Create a bold eye with this kohl eyeliner. With super-rich pigment and gel-effect definition, this long-lasting soft formula can be easily blended to create a dramatic smokey eye.

Price: USD 21/ 17 GBP

Performance: Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in Black is jet black eyeliner with a matte finish. This eyeliner is so buttery soft and creamy in texture and goes on like a dream. No tugging or pulling at all. It is packed with pigment and just one swipe does the job. It can be smudged easily but if you smudge it too quickly or put too much pressure while doing so it sheers out.

Now coming on to the most important part that is the staying power. It is not that impressive in that department. The issue I face with it is, it doesn’t dry down and set. Due to that it smudges easily and even with the slightest touch it comes right off. So I thought okay have to be a bit careful and avoid touching. But that didn’t help much either, 30 minutes in of me wearing it and I saw it got transferred to my upper eyelids and I had a very visible black line above my crease. Not a cute look. I agree I have oily eyelids and quite a few eyeliner smudge on me but I didn’t expect it from this one. Considering it is a high-end product I was expecting a wow product. My 5$ H&M eyeliners performs way better than this.

I have tried it using with an eye primer and could see a slight improvement but still it smudged. The only way it works is if I set it with a black eye shadow. Okay so I can make it work but on daily bases I don’t have the time to set it with black eye shadow. Surprisingly though it lasts way longer on my waterline. I can get 4-5 hours of wear time on my waterline with it slightly fading from the outer corner of the eyes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes which is always good and is easy to remove.

The Good:

Very pigmented
Did not irritate my eyes
Texture is really creamy soft
Applies like a dream

The Bad:

Smudges and transfers
Doesn’t set
Expensive
Lose it's shape too quickly
Sharpening leads to product wastage

I was really excited to see this in my glossybox and I had high expectations from this product. But I am not at all impressed with it and I find some of my drugstore eyeliners perform way better than this. I really liked the creamy texture and pigmentation of this and I would have been fine with slight smudging but the transferring bit really puts me off. I think it might work for people who don’t have oily eyelids because I have read quite a few positive reviews about it.

Today I am sharing with you guys what I got in my August Glossybox. Theme of this month’s glossybox is Beauty Kick and they are launching 3 vegan products in this month’s box.

The August 2016 Glossybox contains following item:

THE BODY SHOP Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask – Refine and revive your skin with our Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. Inspired by Ayurvedic traditions, this 100% vegan tingling clay mask is infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. And it’s been formulated without parabens, paraffin, silicone or mineral oil. This invigorating charcoal face mask draws out impurities and refines the appearance of pores for healthy-looking skin with a glow that shows.

The Body Shop has launched new face masks and this is one of them. These masks are 100% vegan and sans parabens and other chemicals. Sounds great and looking forward to try out the sample. Full size product retails for 28 USD.

NABLA COSMETICS Eyeshadow Refill ‘Ground State’– Try a highly pigmented, cruelty free and vegan eyeshadow which is easy to work with and build up the intensity to your liking. If you want a wow effect then use a wet brush to apply.

It is a purply pink shade with shimmers. A really pretty shade. The texture is very smooth and it swatches nicely. Have to see how well it looks and lasts on the eyes. It is a full size product and it retails for 7.5USD

MEDUSA’S MAKEUP Lipstick ‘Sugar Daddy’– A vegan nude coloured lipstick that is perfect for both daywear and party. It is creamy and has the perfect texture.

I love nude lipsticks and this shade is right up my alley. Plus it is a vegan lipstick and this is my first time trying out a vegan lipstick so I am excited to see how it goes. It looks promising and I will keep you guys posted. It is a full size product and retails for 12 USD.

BENEFIT Gimme Brows– Benefit eyebrow gel is filled with fibres of marshmallow extract which is easy to apply with the little tapered brush. The coloured gel melts in nicely and you get nice defined brows with maximum volume.

This is the product I am most excited about. Gimme brow is a really hyped up product and everybody raves about how good it is. I always wanted to try it but didn’t want to shell out so much on a brow product. I have the essence brow gel which is said to be dupe for this one and now I can compare and see if it’s true. It is a deluxe sample. Full size product retails for 24USD.

GLAM OF SWEDEN Make - up Remover Wet Wipes– Makeup remover wipes that works for all skin types are infused with Micellar Water which removes makeup without drying out your skin. Easy to pack while travelling or a handbag staple.

I generally don’t use wipes to remove my makeup but these would be nice to keep in hand bag for emergencies or take with you on vacation. Full size product retails for 4USD.

A great box this month. I am not that impressed with the wipes but rest of the products look great and looking forward to try these out. This box costs around 16 USD and all the items are worth 33 USD. I think that is a good deal. I will do the full reviews and keep you guys posted.

Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Waterproof Mascara Review

Got the Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara in the June Glossybox. I have never heard of this brand before but nonetheless I was excited to try out a new mascara plus I love how they have included Emotion Allowed as part of the product name. So let’s get on with the review and see how this one fared out.

Product Description: Icona Milano Emotion Allowed Mascara, Black Long lasting and with no smudges at all this mascara is water, sweat and humidity resistant. The rich and creamy formulation and the intense colour create a bold look. The volume is buildable. A basic makeup remover is recommended.

Price: 19USD/ 16.50€

Performance: Formula of this is very creamy and more on a wet side. I got this in June glossybox and the formula is still very wet till date. It has a real slim shaped brush with soft bristles along the length of the wand. After using the Catrice Glamour Doll Volume Mascara I have gotten use to slim brushes and in fact I like slim brushes now. The mascara brush hugs the lashes really nicely and because it is so slim you can get real close to the bottom of the lashes and do the zig zag application motion and pull them up whilst coating them evenly. Plus it is so easy to get to your inner corner and do the bottom lashes without making a mess. It does a nice job at separating your lashes and lifting them from the roots. Definitely gives lengthening effect, manages to hold the curl nicely and does give extra volume to your lashes. You can layer it up quite a bit and it doesn’t get clumpy but if you overdo it then it definitely will clump up. It doesn’t layer that well once dried but still you can do one or two coats once dried. It is a waterproof formula and staying power is great. It stays put no matter what, doesn’t flake or smudge, doesn’t irritate my eyes and lasts for whole day until I remove it. Waterproof formulas are a bit difficult to remove but nothing an oil based cleanser can’t handle.

My only issue with this mascara is that tube doesn’t have the suction bit like other mascaras. Due to this brush picks up way too much product and you have to get the excess off every time you use it otherwise you end up with mascara all over your eyes. It gets quite time consuming and it is not the best one to use if you are in a hurry.

The Good:

I am really having a good luck with mascaras. First Catrice Glamour Doll Volume Mascara and now this one. I really like this mascara. It does everything I want a mascara to do it lengthens the lashes, makes them look very defined, holds the curl nicely, provides extra volume, lasts all day long without smudging and is waterproof. Brush pick up way too much product but I can get over it. I am glad I got to try it because otherwise I would have never picked it up myself.

Simple Skincare Routine: Morning Edit

Today I am sharing my morning skincare routine with you guys. I like to keep it simple and quick in the morning. I don’t want to faff around with too many products in the morning and this routine has been working out for me. These products are the main products that I use everyday. Apart from these I use a couple of other products as and when required and I will tell you about them as well.

Cleansers: I thoroughly cleanse my face in the night but still I like to cleanse my face in the morning to kick start my day. I prefer using gentle cleansers in the morning and my all time favourite for that is Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion. It is really gentle on your skin and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry. I massage it all over my face and neck for about 20 – 30 seconds and rinse it off with lukewarm water. Other product that I like to use is Garnier Micellar Water. Just pour it on a cotton pad and wipe your face with it and you are good to go on with the next step.

Eye Cream: Using an eye cream is really important. Don’t skip this step and I recommend start using one as soon as you are in your twenties. Precaution is better cure guys. I have yet to find the one that I really love. Currently I am using L300 Anti Age Firming Eye Cream. I have not used it for that long so can’t say much about if it works on dark circles or reduces fine lines. But what I can say is it keep my under eye area well moisturised and sits well under makeup.

Serum: I love using serums and just can’t do without one. I have dry and dehydrated skin so I go for the hydrating ones. Clarins Hydraquench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase is a great product but it is a pricey one. More affordable options that really work are Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate and Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum. I am currently using the Vichy one and I really like it a lot. My skin just soaks it in and it does a great job at keeping my skin hydrated all day. I take a pump of this serum and apply it on face and neck. I let it sit for a minute or two before moving on to the next step.

Moisturiser: After serum I move on to applying moisturiser. During the day and especially in summers I don’t like using heavy creams and I prefer using one with SPF. I am using the Formula 10.0.6 Picture Perfect Day Daily Moisturiser with SPF15. I discovered this product last year and I am on my second tube. I like how simple yet effective this product is. Doesn’t make any huge claims, moisturises nicely and provides a bit of sun protection as well.

I don’t use toner on daily basis. I have made an apple cider vinegar toner and use it when I have any active breakouts or if I feel like using one, otherwise I skip this step. Apart from that if my eyes are really puffy in the morning I apply aloe vera gel as soon as I get up and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. I find it helps with puffiness and if you store aloe vera gel in fridge, results are even better. If I am at home then I don't apply sunscreen separately but if I am going out I apply SPF 30 before doing my makeup.

Today I am reviewing the newly launched L'Oréal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm. Sexy Balms comes in two finishes sheer and bold. Sheer range has 5 shades in it (102 Goosip, 103 As If, 104 Break the rules, 109 Such a babe, 111 Go pretty or go home) and the Bold range has three shades (202 Adventure, 203 Yala Yolo, 204 Never Stop). I usually gravitate towards nude shades so I picked up 103 As If from the sheer range. Let’s see how this one fared out.

Packaging: It comes in a twist up black plastic body with a colour coded transparent plastic cap.

Performance: L'Oréal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm 103 As If is a perfect pinky nude shade with slight brown undertone. It is from the sheer range but still the colour payoff is pretty good. Really creamy and buttery smooth in texture and applies like a dream on your lips. Finish of this is very glossy and makes your lip looks very juicy and hydrated. It instantly smoothen your lips no matter how dry or flaky they are and it doesn't settle into the lip lines or accentuate them. Is very moisturising on the lips and the best part is it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips and is not at all sticky. Staying power is around 2-3 hours, glossy effect starts to fade off after an hour or so but the moisturising effect lasts even after the colour wears off. It cannot withstand a meal and wears of a bit while drinking. These are scented so if you do not like fragrance in your lipsticks then this might not be for you.

The Bad:

Fragrance might be a concern for some.

Sheer range is great for daily wear. Just slap it on and you are good to go. These are very moisturising and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. You have to reapply it throughout the day so if you don’t mind that then you should definitely try these out. I really like it and would pick up more shades from this range.

KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 05 & 06 Review

Today I am reviewing KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 05 & 06 for you guys. These are one of the most popular products from the brand and people really like these. Let's see how they fared out for me.

Product Description - Stick Eyeshadow - Extreme hold for a blendable intense colour. The creamy formula ensures extreme blendability of the line immediately after application. Once set, the colour remains uniform and radiant for up to 8 hours, without streaking or smudging. Water Resistant, Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow gives splendid, pure and vibrant colour tones. Application is simple and comfortable, thanks to the special rounded stick and its ultra-smooth and light texture. Available in 32 high-impact shades.

Price: 5.90 USD/ 6.90 GBP

Packaging: It comes in a matte plastic stick packaging with coloured coded bottoms. Just swirl the stick for product to come out. Packaging is sturdy and very convenient to use.

Performance: I have two shades of KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow – 05 & 06.

Shade 05: Is a rosy brown/taupey shade with pink shimmers in it. Beautiful shade and looks amazing on the eyes.

Shade 06: Is a golden bronze shade with silver shimmers in it. This one is almost identical to Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze.

Both the shades are really pretty and have metallic finish. Formula and texture wise they are really buttery soft and creamy. Glides smoothly on eyelids without any tugging or pulling. And oh boy they are packed with pigment, just one swipe does the job. However if you blend it out it sheers down but that’s not huge because you can layer it up to get the desired intensity. They are very blendable but you have to keep in mind that when you apply it you have around a minute’s window to blend it out before it dries down. Because once it dries down it pretty much sets, so I suggest you do one eye at a time. They claim that it stays put for 8 hours but with me that’s not the case. On me it stays for 4 -5 hours before it starts creasing and fading. But I have to say I have very oily eyelids so that doesn’t help at all. With a primer underneath wear time definitely improves. I am not too impressed with the staying power but it is not too bad either. Taking it off is pretty easy, I use an oil based cleanser so there has never been an issue.

The Good:

The Bad:

Doesn’t last for 8 hours.

I really like the shades and the ease of using these. Staying power is not the best but it is not the worst. Might not be the best pick if you are going to be having a long day but for an occasion or eating out or for when you know you are out for 4 – 5 hours only it is a nice option. I carry it in makeup bag for touch ups and it works out fine.

Packaging: It comes in a tube packaging of the same shade of the product with a spongy applicator.

Performance: Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother 030 Cake Pop is a peachy coral shade. Lip smoother is quite sheer and when applied it gives lips a shine with a bit of colour. It looks very natural and feels like my lips but 10 times better. Finish of this is not overtly very shiny or glossy but it makes your lip appear very smooth, hydrated and juicy. It doesn't settle into the lip lines or accentuate them. Formula of these is really creamy and smooth in texture and just glides on your lips. No pulling or tugging at all. Very moisturising on the lips and is not at all sticky. On me it lasts for 2- 3 hours and it cannot withstand a meal and wears of a bit while drinking. It has a strong sweet scent so if you do not like fragrance in your lip products then this might not be for you.

Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother can be best described as a combination of a balm and a lip gloss. If you are someone who likes a product that gives your lips - MLBB look, doesn’t mind glossy finish, moisturisation and reapplying the product throughout the day. Then this product is for you. Plus it is so affordable that you can't go wrong with this one.

Product Description: The Illuminating Blush combines two different colour-intensities with a subtle shimmer and a light pearl. This accentuates the cheekbones as well as giving your complexion definition and a soft glow.

Packaging: It comes in a transparent compact case which looks very similar to the Essence Mosaic Blush. It is very simple and basic but not flimsy. It feels quite sturdy and flip top shuts nice and tight.

Performance: Catrice Illuminating Blush 040 La Vie En Rose is a muted peach shade with a hint of pink to it. This blush has such a beautiful chequered zigzag pattern which looks so attractive and pretty. I bought this one and the Essence Mosaic Blush mainly because of the way they look. 040 La Vie En Rose has two shades in it, a lighter peach shade in the middle and a slightly darker dusty rose pink shade on the sides. Both swirled together gives you a very light peachy pink shade. Being an illuminating blush, it has shimmer particles in it but is not glittery and you don’t end up looking like a glitter ball. It is very smooth in texture and has a very satiny feel. It is decently pigmented and very bendable. Because it is a very light shade, it doesn’t show up too much on my skin tone. I like it for daily wear as it is not too intense and gives just a hint of colour with a dash of glow on the cheeks. At times I layer it on top of other matte blushes and it looks very nice as it adds a bit of sheen. Lasting power is decent as well and it lasts for 4-5 hours on me before it starts to fade away on me and even when the colour fades a hint of shimmery glow remains.

The Bad:

Availability is an issue.

If you are someone who likes subtle blushes then this is for you. Really nice shade and great for daily wear. Catrice product are so affordable and of good quality. You can’t go wrong with them. If you can do try them out.

Today I am sharing with you guys what I got in my July Glossybox. My July Glossybox got really delayed and I got it yesterday only. But I really wanted to show you what's inside this month's box as quickly as possible. I haven't tried anything yet so can't say anything about how the products actually are but I will keep you guys posted about them in the future.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box which contains five luxury beauty products shipped to your door. Glossybox generally ship in the second half of the month. Sometimes its last week of the month.

The July 2016 Glossybox contains following item:

RODIAL Smokey Eye Pen in Black- A soft gel like eyeliner pencil. Get the sustainable smokey eye look you desire, either in black or brown. The soft texture makes it easy to blend the colour and create a subtle look for everyday wear. When you want a more dramatic smokey eye effect, draw along the lash line and blend gently to the desired effect.

Rodial is known for their amazing high end skincare products and now they have widened their range of makeup. So I was really excited to see a Rodial product in this month’s box. It is a full size product and retails for 21USD / 17 GBP.

DE BRUYERE After Sun Lotion Monoi – The sweet and little packaging makes it easy for you to pack up with De Bruyere’s After Sun. Use it if you have got too much colour on your nose. Vitamin E helps in protecting your skin and healing it.

Packaging is cute and it smells really nice. After sun lotion are also very important for you. When you are out in sun for long you need something that is cooling and moisturising for your skin. Full size is 100ml and retails for around 11 USD, this is a 50ml tube.

ELIZABETH MOTT Sherbet Cleanser – Lovely cleansing balm that works as a makeup remover. It just melts into the skin when you take off the makeup, wash up with warm water and then follow up with a face cleanser to really clean your skin.

I really like using cleansing balms to remove makeup and looking forward to try it out. Plus it will be great for travelling. Full size is 100g and retails for 29 USD, this is 18g sample size.

NOMNOM Hair Rings – These hair ties keep your hair in place without leaving any marks and let hair fall very naturally. After frequent use it stretches so then just put it in warm water and it will regain its original shape.

I buy like hundreds of hair ties and when I need them I can’t find a single one. So having new hair ties is always good and these sound great. They claim to leave no mark and are not to tight but still hold everything in place. What more can you ask for? These are a full size item and retails for 4.5 USD.

BENTON COSMETIC Snail Bee High Content Mask – Fibermask with high concentrated essences based on botanical ingredients. It is suitable for all skin types and gives brightening, lifting and soothing effect on the skin. Place it over on the face and let it sit for 20 – 30 minutes.

Who doesn’t love face mask and this one is from a Korean brand. It claims to do a lot and is suitable for all skin type. I am really excited to try this one out. Each individual pack retails for around 2 USD which is a bargain IMO.

This box costs around 16 USD and all the items are worth 39 USD. I think that is a pretty good deal. I will do the full reviews and keep you guys posted.
