Deborah Milano Eyeliner Pencil in 03 Review
I usually gravitate towards black liners I
don’t know why but I do and for sometime I had been wanting to try something different but not to
different and what felt comfortable and sort of next best thing to black was brown. So as I was browsing through
makeup counters and came across Deborah Milano eyeliner pencil 03. Let see how
it fared out.
Product Description:
A soft pencil that glides on and leaves
a clear, sharp line. Fantastic staying power. Dermatologist tested.
Packaging:
It is
packaged as a colour coded wooden pencil which can be sharpened.
Performance:
Deborah Milano 03 is a brown
eyeliner pencil and the colour is a true brown with no shimmers or glitters in
it. It is made out of wood so you have to sharpen them and there is some product wastage due to that. When I swatched
it on my hand at the store it was pigmented and smooth in texture and just
glided. How I wish it was the same way on the lids as well.
When used on
eyelids it is not as pigmented as it swatches and even if you go over 2 -3 times it doesn't impart the desired pigmentation. The same goes for the texture
it is not as smooth on eyes, it tugs and drags a little. Brand claims that it has
fantastic staying power but I beg to differ, its staying power is poor. It stays
for 1 or 2 hours if used as eyeliner and it doesn't show up on my
waterline, it get transfers to the upper eyelid and it smudges
very easily if you even touch your eyes it comes rights of. It was a bummer
product for me.
See it swatches nicely. |
I just swiped my finger once it came right off. |
The
Good:
- Like
the colour.
The Bad
- Lacks
the pigmentation.
- Tugs
on the eyelids
- Transfers
easily
- Smudges
- Poor
staying power
I love the colour that was the reason I bought
it in the first place but it just did not work for me. Maybe I got the bad one
out of the bunch, I don’t know. If anyone of you has tried it let me know how
it worked for you.

Lovely review. I had used a Navy blue eyeliner in Deborah Milano, even that was a dud, it just expired like that, I did not use it at all.
ReplyDelete@Swathi: I thought maybe this one was bad. In future I am staying away from there eyeliners.
ReplyDeleteOops, can't have an eye pencil that smudges and wears off :-(
ReplyDelete@Kiss & Makeup: I know it was so disappointing.

@Lana: I would have been fine with lack of pigmentation and it not being so smooth on eyes. But it failed in all the departments :(
ReplyDelete@Richa: This was my first time trying Deborah Milano eyeliner pencils and I don't think there will be a next time.

ReplyDeleteI love the shade, but it sounds like you were a bit disappointed with some aspects of the liner. I am not familiar with this brand. I'm assuming it's not sold in the US
ReplyDelete@Allison: Bummer and it is an Italian brand so quite possible its not available in US
ReplyDeleteShade looks lovely but i can't handle the liner that smudges so much.
ReplyDeleteThe shade look lovely.. may be you can use this as a base colour for brown eye makeup... Think it will work great...
ReplyDelete@terst: ya it smudges like crazy.
ReplyDelete@All Girly Gossip: I thought of doing so but it tugged and dragged while using as an eyeliner. I did not dare to use it as a base.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried it shade looks good :)
