It comes in this yellow bottle with teal colored writing on it. I like the bright yellow packaging it’s so easy to locate in the drawer.

Performance:
Makeup is such a personal thing and each to its liking. And it often happens that some peoples like one product and others are not that impressed. It’s same with Colossal Volum Express Mascara there is such a divided opinion some people love while others think its ok and some just don’t like. I am from the lovers group. I just love this mascara and its one of my all time favorite mascara. I prefer the waterproof version over the washable one, in my opinion waterproof version holds the curl better. And oh boy its waterproof in the true sense it just doesn't budge been to pool, beach and it just keeps put.


The consistency is not too liquid nor dry its just the right consistency but it gets drier over time. It has a big fat brush with soft bristles along the length of the wand. The wand is easier to work with on top lashes but not that easy with the bottom lashes one has to be really careful otherwise you will end up with mascara bits all over your under eye area. 




As far as volume is considered it doesn't live up to the product description of 7x volume with one quick sweep.  It coats the lashes well in one sweep but for volume you have to work a little and do at least 3 coats and without letting it dry between the coats otherwise it clumps and I don’t like the look of it. The way I prefer to apply it is do one eye at a time if I am going for major volume then I apply 3 -4 coats of it one after the other without letting the coats dry in between and really sweeping the brush from roots to tip, it gives them desired clump free volume and length  . If I am going for more natural no makeup look 1-2 coats works just fine and it gives you this very effortless but defined look.

The Bad: 
  • It’s difficult to work with on lower lashes, wand is too thick.
  • Difficult to remove. Use an oil base cleanser or coconut oil also works great in removing it.
Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Waterproof Mascara gives this amazing volume to the lashes and adds length as well without being clumpy. Completely waterproof and holds the curl really nicely. If you are looking for a volumizing mascara which is pocket friendly this is your pick. I am all thumps up for this one.

    I have tried this one and liked it but dont like clumps on my lashes... I find Deborah Volume and Care mascara over this one :) Nice review :)
