Isadora Wig Wham Heavy Lashes Mascara Review

By Tuesday, May 05, 2015 , , , , ,

Hello Everyone,

Today I am going to review Isadora Wig Wham Heavy Lashes Mascara. Isadora launched this mascara long time back and I have read mixed reviews on it. What interested me in getting this mascara was that it says heavy lashes mascara and secondly it was on sale (70% off) can you blame me.

Product Description
WIGWHAM Heavy lashes mascara. Gives your lashes a new dimension!
Mascara formulation with intense carbon black pigments are created to give heavy, powerful eyelash that puts your eyes in focus!
The rich, creamy mascara formulation combined with the spiral designed brush gives an exceptionally wide "WigWham effect".
• Carbon Black pigments
• Moisture proof
• Easy to remove
Unscented. Ophthalmologically approved.

How to use
To do this: 1. Start at the lash root, press the brush along the fringe and apply by rotating the brush outwards / upwards. 2. Repeat until you get the desired results.

Price: Approx 15 USD

Packaging:
It comes in a black tube with metallic pink screw on cap with pink coloured writing on it.

Shade: Black Magic

Performance: It's consistency is on the liquid side but not too runny. It has more of a creamy consistency which doesn’t dry out. Coming on to the brush, it has quite an interesting shape I haven’t seen a mascara brush like this before.

It’s a big spiral shaped brush with two different sized soft bristles along the length of the wand. Takes a little time getting used to the brush because you have to rotate the brush outwards while going upwards. Once you get a hang of it, it becomes easier to work with. Product claims to give an exceptionally wide ‘’ WigWham effect’’, ahhh I don’t think so. It coats the lashes nicely with one sweep but you have to work a bit to get the desired volume. It is buildable to an extent but can get clumpy if you overdo it and give those spidery looking lashes, so you have to be careful. The brush picks up way to much product so getting the excess of product off is a must every time you dip the brush into the product.

It has a big brush so working with the upper lashes is still ok but it is not the same with lower lashes and the formula being on the creamy side doesn't help at all. It is not waterproof but still it holds the curl nicely and doesn't smudge or leave you with panda eyes if your eyes get watery. You can easily get 7 plus hours of wear time with this and it doesn't irritate my eyes. Easy to take off at the end of the day, any makeup remover will work.

The Good:
  • Gives nice volume to the lashes.
  • Interesting brush shape.
  • Doesn’t smudge.
  • Nice staying power.
  • Doesn’t irritate the eyes.
  • Comes off easily with any makeup remover.
  • Holds the curl
The Bad:
  • Not the easiest of brush to work with.
  • Gets clumpy.
  • Brush picks up way to much product.
  • Have to work a bit to get the desired volume.
  • Availability.

Isadora Wig Wham Heavy Lashes Mascara is an okay mascara but not a wow mascara which you have to have in your life kind. I prefer using it more on a daily bases. Just put on one or two coats of this to get nice defined looking lashes nothing fancy. As for volumizing mascara there are better options available.

  4. @Radha: 70% off can tempt anyone :)) But it clumps only if you overdo it. 2 or 3 coats are fine.

  8. I am a huge fan of Isadora nail paints but have never tried their mascara, this seems to be pretty average but still a steal at 70% off
