Today I am reviewing Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips for you guys. I have never used nose strips before so this is my first time trying these out. So let’s see how these fared out.

Product Description

Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips are designed to remove dirt, oil and other pore clogging debris from the nose areas with the adhesive properties of the moistened/activated strips. The strip adheres to the dirt and oil in your pores and then they are lifted away as you remove the strip. The results can be seen instantly as you remove the strip. You will notice that your pores are cleaner and less visible. Box contains 6 strips.

Price: Approx 6.90 USD for six strips

Packaging: They come in a box and each strip is individually packed. So you can open as a when you need and they are travel friendly as well.

Performance: Instructions to use one are very clearly mentioned behind each individual package and are pretty easy to follow. Do as it exactly says and you’ll be fine. I found it pretty easy to use and did not feel any discomfort. I was a bit concerned about ripping it off, thought it might hurt. But it didn’t and the whole process went on smoothly. As far as results are concerned I have no point of reference as this was my first time using a nose strip. It did manage to get rid of quite a few blackheads and the dirt/grime but it did not get rid of all the blackheads. I can most definitely see a difference. My nose looks a lot clearer and feels a lot smoother. I am pleasantly surprised after trying this because I was under the impression that this would not work at all.

Nice way to keep blackheads at bay. These strips were kinda nice and I like its effect. I will definitely keep using them regularly and will try out some other brands. The Beauty Formula strips were not bad at all but I want to see what else is out there and are there any better ones available than Beauty Formula.

Today I am sharing my morning skincare routine with you guys. I like to keep it simple and quick in the morning. I don’t want to faff around with too many products in the morning and this routine has been working out for me. These products are the main products that I use everyday. Apart from these I use a couple of other products as and when required and I will tell you about them as well.

Cleansers: I thoroughly cleanse my face in the night but still I like to cleanse my face in the morning to kick start my day. I prefer using gentle cleansers in the morning and my all time favourite for that is Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion. It is really gentle on your skin and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry. I massage it all over my face and neck for about 20 – 30 seconds and rinse it off with lukewarm water. Other product that I like to use is Garnier Micellar Water. Just pour it on a cotton pad and wipe your face with it and you are good to go on with the next step.

Eye Cream: Using an eye cream is really important. Don’t skip this step and I recommend start using one as soon as you are in your twenties. Precaution is better cure guys. I have yet to find the one that I really love. Currently I am using L300 Anti Age Firming Eye Cream. I have not used it for that long so can’t say much about if it works on dark circles or reduces fine lines. But what I can say is it keep my under eye area well moisturised and sits well under makeup.

Serum: I love using serums and just can’t do without one. I have dry and dehydrated skin so I go for the hydrating ones. Clarins Hydraquench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase is a great product but it is a pricey one. More affordable options that really work are Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate and Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum. I am currently using the Vichy one and I really like it a lot. My skin just soaks it in and it does a great job at keeping my skin hydrated all day. I take a pump of this serum and apply it on face and neck.  I let it sit for a minute or two before moving on to the next step.

Moisturiser: After serum I move on to applying moisturiser. During the day and especially in summers I don’t like using heavy creams and I prefer using one with SPF. I am using the Formula 10.0.6 Picture Perfect Day Daily Moisturiser with SPF15. I discovered this product last year and I am on my second tube. I like how simple yet effective this product is. Doesn’t make any huge claims, moisturises nicely and provides a bit of sun protection as well.

I don’t use toner on daily basis. I have made an apple cider vinegar toner and use it when I have any active breakouts or if I feel like using one, otherwise I skip this step. Apart from that if my eyes are really puffy in the morning I apply aloe vera gel as soon as I get up and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. I find it helps with puffiness and if you store aloe vera gel in fridge, results are even better. If I am at home then I don't apply sunscreen separately but if I am going out I apply SPF 30 before doing my makeup.

Packaging: It comes in a transparent aqua coloured bottle with a white pump. I like the pump dispenser; it dispenses the product nicely and you can control the quantity of product by controlling how much you press the pump. And it comes with a little cap on top of the pump, so the pumps nozzle is not exposed. I wish if the pump locks like the Olay one did.

Performance: Serum is milky white in colour and has this gel like consistency which is neither too thick nor too thin. It smells so fresh and refreshing quite like cucumbers. The fragrance is not that strong and neither does it linger on for to long but people with sensitive noses do smell it before you decide on it. It spreads very easily onto the skin and gets absorbed nicely but it feels a bit tacky/sticky for a minute before it gets completely sunk in to the skin. It doesn’t feel or look greasy and neither does it leave a residue behind. It is moisturising and hydrating on its own but I follow it up with a moisturiser.

Today I am reviewing Formula 10.0.6 Picture Perfect Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 for you guys.

Price: 6.99 USD

Packaging: I like their packaging a lot it’s simple but quite different, effective and very descriptive. I prefer tube packaging over tub so it’s a big plus and it’s easy to carry around.

Ingredients:

Performance: This contains guava, vitamin C and chamomile. Guava is known for its refining and refreshing properties as one of the “super fruits” and Vitamin C helps your skin to revitalize it’s self. This smells strongly of guava it doesn’t bother me much but if you don’t like the smell of guava or are sensitive to smell then this might not be for you.

The actual cream is white in colour and looks rich. It just looks rich but the product itself is quite lightweight and gets absorbed nicely into the skin. Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I was a bit concerned because it has SPF in it that it might be a bit sticky or greasy looking but it’s not. After application and once it’s fully absorbed it gives a nice moisturized and hydrated look and doesn’t look shiny. I have dry skin so this alone doesn’t work for me in winters so I use a serum underneath it and in general also I like using hydrating serum. I think in summers this alone would get the job done. Have been using it for over two months now and it hasn’t caused any break outs as such and this works nicely under the makeup as well. The product doesn’t make any big claims of anti aging or so. It simply says it provides hydration and sun protection and it does that nicely.  It's not like a wow product that I need in my life daily. It is simple fuss free product and I like it.

I was looking for daily moisturiser with an SPF which provides hydration and sun protection and basically gets the job done. This does that and I am quite satisfied with it. So if you are looking for a simple daily moisturiser with SPF do try this one out.

Today I am reviewing Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for you guys. I have bought this over a month ago and have been using it since. Let's see how this one fared out.

Product description:

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse. The result?

Beautifully cleansed and refreshed feeling skin in an instant. The formula is suitable for the face, eye area and lips, has no perfume and comes in a generous 400ml size.

                                   

Price: Approx 8$ / £4.99

Packaging: It comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip open cap which shuts tightly. It is a bulky bottle (400 ml) and hence not that travel friendly.

Performance: It looks like water and has no fragrance whatsoever. So it seems you are using water to remove your makeup. Duhhh.. it is water but Micellar Water. Micellar Water has tiny little cleansing agents called micelles which help in lifting the dirt and makeup from your face. They actually do a good job of removing makeup and are very easy and convenient to use. Just pour (on cotton pads), swipe and go.

Garnier Micellar water is very gentle and is suitable for all skin types even the sensitive ones. It did not irritate my eyes at all and neither did it leave my skin feeling dry or stretchy post usage. It gets rid of makeup nicely and without much effort but it is not that effective on waterproof makeup especially mascara. I prefer waterproof mascara and this was not able to get rid of it even after holding the cotton pad over the eyes for a minute, pressing and rubbing, with normal mascara(not waterproof) also I find it leaves a little bit behind. Apart from that I think it does a good job of removing my makeup and the process is very easy and quick. Plus it doesn’t feel sticky and it doesn’t leave a film behind.

If you are some one like me who prefers cleansing balm/oils to remove their makeup and usually double cleanse this works great as a second cleanse as well and gets rid of every last bit of makeup. It also works great as a morning cleanser. I like to keep my morning skincare simple and quick so I just use this instead of a face wash and get on with my moisturizer and eye cream and I am done.

Now with so many Micellar water available in the market this is the most budget friendly option out there. Removes makeup quite nicely and easily. Love how convenient to use it is and so gentle. If you can do try it out.

Today I am reviewing Bioderma Sebium Serum for you. If you have been reading my blog for a while (Thank you so much!! Love you guys!!) then you know that I have already raved about this product in my June favourites here. But still I had to a full review on this one. Last year my skin was not doing so great and I was struggling with blemishes and nothing seems to be working on them. Finally I gave up and visited a dermatologist. She recommended Bioderma Sebium Serum to me and this took care of all the issues and since then I have been using this on and off. Whenever a pesky little pimple comes up I use this and it's taken care of.

Product Description: Smoothing and purifying skin renovator concentrate for combination or oily skin with persistent blemishes. This keratolytic care corrects existing blemishes, smoothes and refines the skin texture through a gentle peeling effect. It evens out irregular countours and re-establishes the skin's natural radiance. Sébium Sérum, associated with the exclusive patented Fluidactiv complex which regulates and stabilizes the quality of sebum and prevents the appearance of blemishes, contains two dermatological active ingredients: glycolic acid which smoothes and purifies, and D-Panthenol which intensely soothes. Its innotivative gel-type texture is well tolerated.

Directions for use:

Apply every other evening to skin that has been thoroughly cleansed with Sébium H2O or Sébium Gel Moussant. For optimal results, use Sébium Sérum as a "cure" for 4 weeks consecutively, either on its own or with your usual overnight care. Avoid eye contour and lips.

Price: 22 USD

Packaging: It comes in a white squeeze tube with a screw on cap. It has pointy nozzle that dispenses the product. 

Performance: It is clear and has a very runny consistency (almost watery). It is recommended applying it after cleansing and toning. After applying this product let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then you can apply your regular moisturiser. It is not recommended to wear a Sebium Serum during the day, because it contains glycolic acid and glycolic acid is photosensitive, which means it can cause spots if you go out in sun. So it is better to apply it during the night, so your skin can recover better. But during the day you should use a face cream or fluid with a high SPF protection of 30 or more.

When I apply this product it gives a very cooling effect and once it gets absorbed I get a slight stretchy feel for that 1-2 minutes I have to wait before applying my moisturiser or maybe it’s just because I have dry/ combination skin and this product is for combination/oily skin. But that stretchy feel is not something my moisturiser can’t handle and once that’s done everything is OK. Now coming to part on how it works on pimples. This works like a dream. I wake up in the morning with much smoother and even looking skin and those pimples are almost gone. If my skin is acting funny and I get those tiny bumps because of hot and humid weather then I use this all over my face on alternate days for a week or two and this does the job for me. Otherwise I use this as a spot treatment for occasional break outs. I thought that this would dry out my skin but surprisingly it has not dried out my skin at all.

No other product has shown such great results on my skin. So I am very happy that I have this in my stash. If you suffer from blemishes then you should try it. It might work for you as well.

This month I have not been regular with my posts. I took a week off in the beginning of this month and when I came back I got sick hence fewer posts. Hopefully everything will get back on track soon. That’s the update from my end. Moving on with today’s post I am reviewing Yves Rocher Redberries Exfoliating Shower Gel which I hauled a while back here.

Product Description: An ultra-sensory daily exfoliating shower gel fragranced with Redberries. Offer elegant Redberry pleasures! Packaging: It comes in clear squeeze tube with a flip top cap which shuts tight. Has a pretty redberries picture on it with product name written in golden, nothing to fancy. It is quite bulky and not that travel friendly.

Price: 9 USD

Performance: Yves Rocher Redberries Exfoliating Shower Gel smells sweet and it smells exactly like berries. Out of curiosity I asked my friend who had no idea about this product to do the smell test she said it smells like sweet berries slush. I like more zingy and citrusy smell in my shower products this is a bit different from what I usually go for and I quite like it. Fragrance lingers on for quite a while on my body. It has cornflower water and kiwi seeds in it. Kiwi seeds act as exfoliants. It is a mild exfoliating shower gel which can be used daily. It is not a full on scrub but more on lines of Oriflames Nature Secrets Exfoliating Shower Gel reviewed here. So if you are someone who likes proper scrubs then you will be disappointed. I have very sensitive skin so I don’t prefer harsh exfoliation. Consistency of this is quiet runny so you have to be careful otherwise you end up with more than you require. It doesn’t lathers up like a normal shower gel but it does lathers up and gently exfoliates the body. Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, doesn’t irritate or dry out the skin. You won’t mark a difference right away but with regular usage texture of the skin improves, it feels softer and smoother and body creams/lotion sink in better.

It smells nice and is easy to use. You don’t need separate products, saves up on time and with regular usage texture of skin improves. Biggest plus is it doesn’t irritate my skin. It gets big thumbs up from me.
