Today I am
reviewing H&M Colour Essence
Eye Pencil in Grand Cru which I hauled last month here. Such a stunner shade. The moment I swatched it in the store I knew I wanted this in my life and couldn't wait to get home and try it out. Did my excitement last? Is it as good as others? Let's see.
Product Description: A richly
pigmented eyeliner pencil with soft and creamy formula. It is easy to apply and
sit all day. The pen is available in a variety of intense shades with different
effects - from matte to metallic, pearlescent and glittery. 1.2 g. How to use:
apply along the lashline and smudge then to the desired results.
Price: 5.7 USD
Packaging: It is a
sharpenable plastic eye pencil with colour coded bottom. It is bit difficult to
sharpen it due plastic body.
Performance: H&M
Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Grand Cru is a glittery Champagne Gold shade . It is a perfect shade for going out or party makeup. It is not a very subtle shade but neither does it look tacky. If you like glittery/shimmery shade then this is right up your alley. I am not a huge shimmer fan but I like it from time to time if I am going out for a party or during the festive season. If I am feeling it then I use it all over my upper lash line otherwise I prefer using it as an inner corner highlight or just lining the inner 1/3rd of upper or lower lash line and it is great for that. It just instantly brightens the area. I tried using it as a brow bone highlighter but on blending it just leaves shimmer behind which not a very good look. Texture of this is buttery soft and creamy. Goes on so smoothly without any tugging or pulling. It is packed with pigment and just one swipe does the job. Staying power is amazing once set it stays put. Doesn't budge. That’s not it there’s more, It did not get transferred to
my upper eyelids and I have super oily eyelids and is almost smudge proof. Almost
smudge proof? It doesn't get rubbed off completely with slight touching or
rubbing, just fades a little. Just for trail purpose I have used it on my waterline as well and it
does not irritate my eyes at all. It is nowhere mentioned if it waterproof or
not. Taking it off is slightly tedious because it is a glittery eyeliner so I had to go in second time with my eye makeup remover to get rid of the glitter completely. The formula is creamy so the
tip loses it shape very quickly and you have to sharpen it to maintain a pointy
tip. If you are someone who likes thin precise liners then you would not like
this.
The
Good:
· Amazing staying power
·
Does not transfer
·
Smudge Proof
·
Nice shades
·
Did not irritate my eyes
·
Texture is really creamy soft
The Bad:
·
Lose it shape too quickly
·
Sharpening leads to product
wastage
Absolutely beautiful shade. Love it. This eye
pencil has amazing staying power and it does not budge. Texture
is soft and smooth. Highly recommend them. I already have three shades from this range and eyeing few others so that says all. If you can definitely try these out.

Hello Everyone,
July is gone and with yet another month gone, its time to share the monthly favourites with you guys. We are well into August, eighth month of the year. This year is really flying by. In July there were few products that really stood out and I have been reaching for them on daily basis.
Here they are:
- NYX Slim Lip Pencils in Bloom and Hot Red - I have already raved a lot about these pencils here and here. Love them and have been constantly reaching for them. I want to get all the shades.
- Seche Base Ridge Filling Base Coat - This give me a nice and smooth base to work with and I think my nail paint goes on much smoother because of this and it also helps in improving the staying power of nail paints.
- L'oreal Paris Super Liner Silkissime in Brown Temptation - This is what I have been wearing on my eyes since the day I got it. It is dark but doesn't look as stark as black eyeliners do and is more appropriate for daytime wear. Love the finish of this and it lasts all day long. You can read the review here.
- Yves Rocher Redberries Exfoliating Shower Gel - Love the scent of this one and the way it gently exfoliates, leaving you with softer smoother skin. Reviewed it here.
Hope you liked this post!!

Hello Everyone,
I have
been shopping a little lately and I went a little crazy and have bought all
this stuff. I am so excited to try all of these and share my views with you
guys but before getting into all of that let me show what all I bought.
- Real Techniques Sculpting Set – I
am most excited about this one. I was on a look out RT setting brush for
ages and when I finally found it, I saw this set right next to it and it
was on 20% discount so without even thinking twice I just grabbed this
one. Can’t wait to try it out.

- Loreal Paris
Superliner Silkissime in Brown Temptation –
Heard a lot of good things about these eyeliners and I was on a look out
for good brown eyeliner. So picked this one up. Let see how it goes.
- Seche Base (Ridge Filling Base Coat) –
This sounds interesting and I was on a look out for a new base coat.
- Ciate Nail Paint in Golden Sands – I
love nude nail paints. I feel they look very chic and goes with everything.
- NYX Lipliner Pencil in 836 Bloom & 817 Hot Red – I have never been too much into lipliners. But lately I have
been thinking maybe I am missing out on something so the other day I was
at NYX counter and thought of giving them a go. I liked the way they
swatched and felt. I haven’t really put them to test so let see how it goes.
- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm – Wanted to try one of these for a long time but somehow never
did. So picked this one up.
- NYX Single Eyeshadow in Gunmetal –
NYX was doing this offer where if you shop a certain limit you get an
eyeshadow free but colour choice was limited and I ended up with this.
This shade is completely out of my comfort zone. Have to figure out a way
to use it. Help me out guys.

- Yves Rocher Spray On Sunscreen with SPF 30 – Wanted a new sunscreen and this one seemed interesting to me so
I got this one. It’s hydrating, water resistant and spray on. Looks good.
- Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate – I loved the face mask from this range so I thought of trying
something else from the range and I was looking out for new serum so I got
this one. Haven’t tried it yet but if it as good as the mask I will love
it.
- Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal3 Ultra Plumping Serum – Was on a look out for some anti aging serum and this caught my
attention. It has 46% collagen and hyaluronic acid. Sounds good and hope
it works.
I
will be reviewing all of these in the upcoming days and will keep you guys
posted. If
you want me to review any of products first let me know and I will try to do
it.
Hope you like this post !!

Hello
Everyone,
Today I am going to review L’oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer in Black Vinyl on the blog.
I have read tons of good reviews about this product and that’s why I picked it
up. Let’s see if I like it or not.
Waterproof Super Liner
Black Lacquer
- Liquid eyeliner in a sponge-tipped pen
- A long-lasting precise line.
- Creates fine lines or thick, sultry flicks
- Colour is applied with precision and ease
- Dries without smudging
- Ophthalmologically tested
Price: 11 USD approx.
Packaging: It comes in sleek black tube packaging with golden imprinting on it. The applicator is quite long which allows you full grip and control.
Performance: L’oreal Paris Super Liner Black Lacquer in Black
Vinyl is a jet black liquid eyeliner. The applicator of this
is amazing, it has a soft spongy tip and the long handle allows full grip of
the applicator and makes the application so much easier. It feels exactly like
a felt-tip eyeliner. So if you thought that liquid liner are not for you then
you can start with this. It is great for creating any kind of eyeliner look, a
fine line for an everyday look or a thick winged liner look for an evening look.
Consistency
of this liner is liquidly but not too runny. Texture wise it’s quite smooth and
glides easily on the lids. You might have to dip in the applicator a few times
for both eyes. When you apply it goes on shiny in the beginning but then
settles down to a semi matte finish. Another amazing thing is it dries almost
instantly so you don’t have to wait around fanning your eyelids so your liner
dries quickly. To top it all it has great staying power, it lasted for more than
10 hours on my oily upper eyelids with no signs of fading. It did not get
transferred to upper eyelids and is smudge proof. Did not irritate my eye at
all and although it is waterproof it
comes right off with any makeup remover.
The Good:
- Shiny black lacquer
- Amazing Applicator
- Glides smoothly
- Love the finish of it
- Dries instantly
- Great staying power
- Doesn't get transferred
- Smudge proof
- Did not irritate my eyes
- Easy to remove
The Bad:
All
in all this is a great product and I love it. Easy to apply, dries instantly
and stays all day long. Plus it is so easy to use. If you want to try out
liquid eyeliners and fret the applicator this one is great to start of with and
even the liquid liner experts would love this. Highly recommend it and if you
can do try it.

Hello Everyone,
After my last experience
with Deborah Milano eye liner pencil reviewed here I did not expect much from
this one and it was just lying unattended in my drawer. Then couple of week’s back
I thought of giving it a go as I have spent my precious money on it and review
it for you guys. So let’s see how it fares out.
Product
Description: Formulated to leave a perfectly defined, long lasting line. The
silky-soft pencil glides on effortlessly, ensuring flawless, smudge-free
results. The pigment-rich formulation contains silicone resins for superb
colour that stays put and resists fading all day long and well into the night.
Ophthalmologist tested. The 24Ore Waterproof Eye Pencils are also safe for
contact lens wearers.
Price:
8
USD
Packaging:
It
is a twist up eye pencil which comes in a colour coded plastic body with a
smudger and sharpener on one end. Pull out the smudger and it has the sharpener
underneath it. With the help of the sharpener you can get a fine tip again.
Performance:
Deborah Milano 24 ORE
Waterproof Eye Pencil in 04 is a dark navy blue eye pencil and the colour is true
navy blue sans any shimmers or glitters in it. The texture of these is really soft
and creamy and goes on smoothly on eyes without any tugging or pulling. It can
be smudged easily but you have to be quick with it because it sets quickly and
you have few seconds after application. It does not go opaque in a single swipe
on me so I need 2 swipes and the way I like to do it is I apply it once let it
set and then go over it the second time. For me it works best this way and I
get desired colour payoff.

It has amazing staying power it lasted for 10 hours
on my upper eyelids with slight fading by the end of the day but nothing major. I
was totally blown away no pencil eyeliner lasts that long on me, I have quite
an oily eyelids. It did not get transferred to upper eyelids and is smudge
resistant if you leave you eyes alone. If you touch or rub your eyes then it
gets rubbed of easily so it isn’t smudge proof. I have used it on my waterline
as well and it does not irritate my eyes at all. Although it waterproof it
comes right off with any makeup remover. The formula is quite creamy so if you
apply too much force pencil can break. The smudger that comes with it is quite
decent and you can work with it easily. The USP of this product is the
sharpener and it is not that often you see such features in a drug store brand.
I use the sharpener for other eyeliners as well.
The
Good:
·
Amazing staying power
·
Does not transfer
·
Smudge resistant
·
Beautiful shade
·
Did not irritate my eyes
·
Texture is really soft
·
Smudger is good
·
Comes with a sharpener
The Bad:
- No name or number is
mentioned on the pencil.
This eye
pencil has amazing staying and once set it does not budge. The shade is really
nice and wearable, texture is soft and smooth. I really like this a lot and
would highly recommend them. If you can definitely try it out.
