Hello Everyone,
It's been a while and I haven't posted
anything on the blog. Life took over and one thing after the other kept me away
from my blog. But I am getting back into blogging and hope to keep up with
regular posts and updates.
In this post I am sharing with you guys
few of the things I picked up recently.
- Tangle Teezer – This is a repurchase. A
really great one if you have knotty hair. Not a great fan of its shape but
it gets the job done for me. Though I would like to try out the wet brush
but it is a bit difficult to get hold of.
- Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – Another product which needs no introduction. I tried this few years
ago but didn’t like it that much and thought it was way too time consuming
in respect to foundation brush. But this time around I have fallen in love
with it. Yes it takes a bit more time to blend but the results are way
better and finish it gives looks way more natural. Love it. If you haven’t
tried it yet do give it a try.
- Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Serum – Have read a lot of great reviews about this one and I was on a look
for a new serum so picked it up.
- Yves Rocher Nutritive Vegetal Velvety Ultra Rich Cleanser – I like gentle cleansers and Cetaphil cleanser is one of my
favourite and I have been using it for a very long-time now. So I wanted
to try something new. Yves Rocher is one of my favourite skincare brands
and their products have never disappointed me. Hope this one lives up to
expectations.
- Yves Rocher Sensitive Vegetal Soothing Mist – Who doesn’t love facial mists and I am no different. And as soon
as I saw it is for sensitive skin and is a soothing mist I was sold. Have
tried it a couple of times and really liked the feel of it and found it
moisturising as well.
Hope you liked this post!!

Today I am reviewing p2 Volume Gloss Gel Look Polish in the shade 010 Little Princess for you guys. Let’s see how it fared out.
Product Description: A voluminizing effect thanks to a special plumping formula for the ultimate ‘gel’ look. The polish is formulated for a long-lasting, high-gloss finish while providing high coverage and perfect color transfer. It includes a voluminizing fanning brush for perfect, fast results, as the brush fans out on the nail, permitting application in one brushstroke without streaking.
- Available in 24 colors
- Content 12 ml
Performance: p2 Volume Gloss Gel Look Polish in 010 Little Princess is a baby pink shade. The formula of this is very creamy and thick but not too thick either that it feels gloopy. Though the formula is creamy and thick it dries fairly quickly and you don’t have to wait much in between the coats which is always good. It is very nicely pigmented but two or even three coats are required for the perfect look. First coat went on very streaky but second coat was a lot smoother but I have to say that they do go on a bit streaky. As far as shine is concerned they are quite glossy looking and it lasts for a good couple of days and then starts fading slightly. I really like the brush of this nail paint it is very similar to the L’Oreal Color Riche ones which I love but slightly thicker. It picks up the right amount of polish and just glides so effortlessly on your nails covering them perfectly. Onto the part that matters the most staying power, four days in and no chipping at all it didn’t even fade from the edges. The shine has faded a little but nothing much. Really like the way it looks on day four. It chipped slightly from the tips by the fifth day but nothing major. All in all highly impressed with the staying power. On it own it stayed on for five day with a base and top coat it will stay put for longer.

The Good:
- Nice shade
- Glossy finish
- Good staying power
- Nice brush
- Nice shade range
- Quantity
- Affordable
The Bad:
- A bit streaky
- Availability

Hello Everyone,
Today I am sharing with you guys few things that I have been testing out.
Here they are:
L300
Pharmacy Skincare Anti-Age Firming Eye Cream – I was on a look out for a new eye cream with anti age properties and the
one which was a bit richer. While I was searching I came across this one from
L300 Pharmacy. What attracted me to pick it up was that it has hyaluronic acid
in it and is fragrance free. I like the packaging and the fact it has a pump
dispenser.
ECO. FACE Rosehip
Oil – Face oils are really great
for your skin and especially if you have dry skin. I was using cold pressed almond
oil and it was working fine but I kind of got bored using it and wanted to try
something new and then I came across ECO.Face an Australian brand which makes
organic oil and it is a certified brand. They make all kind of organic facial
oils and I picked up rosehip one. I am really excited to try this one out,
Lumene 2
In 1 Detoxifying Mask & Micro Scrub – My skin has been breaking out a little and in general looking a bit dull
so I wanted to pick up a face mask for that. I read good reviews about this one
and it looked like a nice one so I got it. It says it has no parabens,
formaldehyde donors and mineral oil.
Formula
10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask – Because of the same reason I bought this one as well plus it was on 30%
off. What more can I say.
Max Factor
False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara – Max factor mascaras are raved about all the time and they are really
great. I haven’t used a Max Factor one in a while now. But one but one of
friends recommended this one to me and on her recommendation I got it. This is not a new one and has been out for a while.
Sleek Face
Form Contouring & Blush Palette – I really like Sleek products specially their blush palettes and I have
read so many good reviews about face form palettes that I finally decided to get it. I
got it in shade medium and I am excited to try it out.

Today I am reviewing Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate for you guys.
Product
Description: Revitalizes skin from deep within. Stimulate your skin's hydration from the very first
application and deeply revitalize your skin.
Proven effectiveness: skin's hydration immediately increases by 104 %.
Result: skin is comfortable and your complexion is radiant.
The Plus: an ultra-fresh texture. Tested under dermatological supervision.
Price: 36 USD
Ingredients: aqua/water/eau,
dimethicone, glycerin, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, methylpropanediol, hydrogenated
coconut oil, betaine, alcohol, sorbitan stearate, acer saccharum (sugar maple)
extract, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, agave tequilana leaf extract, sodium
pca, aphloia theiformis leaf extract , stearyl
alcohol,ceteth-20,parfum/fragrance, dimethicone crosspolymer, xanthan gum, salicylic
acid, zinc sulfate, sorbic acid, sodium hydroxide, tocopheryl acetate, tocopherol.
Packaging: It comes
in a transparent aqua coloured bottle with a white pump. I like the pump
dispenser; it dispenses the product nicely and you can control the quantity of
product by controlling how much you press the pump. And it comes with a little
cap on top of the pump, so the pumps nozzle is not exposed. I wish if the pump
locks like the Olay one did.
Performance: Serum is
milky white in colour and has this gel like consistency which is neither too
thick nor too thin. It smells so fresh and refreshing quite like cucumbers. The
fragrance is not that strong and neither does it linger on for to long but
people with sensitive noses do smell it before you decide on it. It spreads
very easily onto the skin and gets absorbed nicely but it feels a bit
tacky/sticky for a minute before it gets completely sunk in to the skin. It
doesn’t feel or look greasy and neither does it leave a residue behind. It is
moisturising and hydrating on its own but I follow it up with a moisturiser.
I have
been using it morning and night for a while now after cleansing my face. In the
morning I follow it up with a day cream and in the night with night cream. After
using it for 2- 3 days I noticed my skin felt well moisturised and I didn’t get
that dry, slightly stretchy feel that I sometimes get and have this urge to
reapply my moisturiser/day cream. After a
week I could see that my skin felt smoother. All moisturizers/creams glide
smoothly and easily over it and get absorbed nicely. With regular usage I have
seen that my skin feels and looks hydrated and I didn’t get any dry patches on
my face which I tend to get during winters. Plus this hydrates my skin so well
it looks more even toned and supple. Another plus was it did not clog the pores
and caused breakouts.
The Good:
- Light weight
- Spreads easily
- Gets absorbed nicely
- Non – greasy
- Hydrates & moisturised
- Makes skin smooth and soft
- Improves
skin texture and tone.
- Pump
dispenses right amount of product and prevents wastage.
The Bad:
It
is a really nice product and if you are some one who has dry or dehydrated skin
you will really like this product. It really provides a boost of hydration to
the skin and makes your skin smooth and soft. I really like this product and
highly recommend it.
Hope
you liked this post!!

Today I am reviewing NYX
Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in CJ 13 Orange for you guys. I wanted
to try out a orange corrector for some time now but I didn’t want to shell out
big bucks because I was not sure if it's gonna work out for me. While browsing through
drugstore alternatives I came across this one from NYX. I have tried few NYX
products in the past and loved them but I never tried a concealer from them so
this is my first one. Let’s see how this one fared out.
Product
Description: Our Full Coverage Concealer hides the villains of dark circles and
blemishes with a vengeance. Available with an arsenal of shades and an advanced
formula that provides long-lasting full coverage.
Price: $5
Packaging: It comes in a small
transparent plastic jar with a black screw on cap.
Performance:
NYX
Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in CJ 13 Orange. This is really a bright orange shade.
The actual product feels like a stiff cream in the pot but it applies nicely
and blends easily into the skin. I like to scoop out a little product and warm
it up a bit between my fingers before application and I find it helps in
applying the product more evenly. I use this product as a corrector rather than
a concealer. This helps cancel out the dark bluish purple pigmentation or under
eye circles. You can apply it before your foundation or after it; I find it
works fine both ways. It blends easily into the skin and once blended it
looks like a tint and cancels all the darkness and you can go ahead with your
concealer on top. It doesn’t feel heavy under the eyes and neither does it
looks cakey. I love how pigmented this is and little goes a long way. I took
me a little while to figure out actually how I much is required before going
overboard. So I would say start with a little bit and see what works for you. Though
it is a cream product, finish of it is matte so the under eye area doesn’t get
greasy or oily but neither does it dry out the area. As a thumb rule you should
always moisturize your eye area before putting any product and the same goes
for this one. If you apply a thin layer of it and blend it nicely and apply
your normal concealer on top of it and then set everything with powder it looks
nice and stays put for 6 - 7 hours but after that it starts to crease a little
bit but not too much and can be fixed with a light touch up.
The
Good:
- Perfect colour corrector for skin discolouration.
- Blends easily
- Highly pigmented
- Light weight
- Not too oily or greasy
- Decent staying power
- Affordable
- Nice shade range
The
Bad:
- Packaging is not very hygienic
- Might not work for very fair skin.
If you
have severe dark circles and no matter what concealer you use you don’t get the
desired look and under eye area looks ashy then this is for you. This wouldn’t
miraculously give you flawless look but it definitely helps a lot with
discolouration and makes a huge difference which is visible. I really love
using this product. Plus this is so affordable so I would totally recommend
trying it out.
Hope you

Hello Everyone,
Today I am reviewing Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara for you guys.
Product Description
Magnify and multiply the look of your lashes. PhotoReady 3D Mascara from
Revlon creates bigger, bolder volume with a rounded lash-finding brush that
coats every lash. Starting with one product and expanding to a prestigious
cosmetic industry, Revlon has been providing customers with products that make
women look and feel glamorous. Revlon is the #1 longwear brand at the forefront
of trends and fashion across the globe.
Price: 7.19 USD
Packaging: It comes in a square shaped black and silver tube. I
like that it has a nice base and can stand on its own.
Performance: The formula of this is neither too wet nor too dry.
Kind of in the middle but it definitely gets drier over time. It has a big fat
brush with bristles along the length of the wand. The bristles are quite hard
on this wand. The wand is easier to work with on top
lashes but not that easy with the bottom lashes one has to be really careful
otherwise you will end up with mascara bits all over your under eye area.
As far as
volume is considered it doesn't live up to the product description. It
coats the lashes well in one sweep and gives you a nice defined looking lashes.
Definitely lengthens your lashes but doesn’t provide much volume. I did two
coats of these but it didn’t pack on the volume. My lashes looked long, defined
and evenly coated but with third coat it started to clump and I could feel the
heaviness of product on my lashes and I didn’t like the feeling. Apart from
that it holds the curl nicely and doesn't smudge or
leave you with panda eyes if your eyes get watery. You can easily get 7 plus
hours of wear time with this and it doesn't irritate my eyes. I have the waterproof version so it is
difficult to remove but nothing oil cleansers can’t handle.
The Good:
- Nice Formula
- Big fat brush
- Definitely lengthens the
lashes
- Holds the curl better
- Doesn't smudge
- Nice staying power
- Waterproof
- Doesn't irritate the
eyes
The Bad:
- Isn’t as volumizing as it
claims.
- It’s difficult to work with
on lower lashes, wand is too thick.
- Difficult to remove. Use an
oil based cleanser or coconut oil also works great in removing it.
Revlon PhotoReady 3D Mascara is a nice mascara but not
a wow mascara which you have to have in your life kind. I prefer using it more
on a daily bases. Just put on one or two coats of this to get nice defined longer
looking lashes nothing fancy. If you are looking for a lengthening mascara then
try it but if you are going for volumizing mascara there are better options
available.

Fashion
Hello Everyone,
I have never shared with you guys any of my fashion picks. The primary reason was I haven't been shopping much clothes wise. This might come as a shock to people who know me personally because I love shopping like all the girls do but for past few months I was not feeling it. My bank account looked pretty content during this phase but with sale season at it's best it came to an end. And I am very happy for that. I didn't go too crazy which I tend to during sale season and only picked up few pieces to add in my wardrobe.
I wanted a white chunky cable knit sweater for a long time now. It was a lot harder to find than I imagined. There were so many things to consider the pattern, neck style, oversized or fitted. Finally I zeroed down this one and it was 50% off.
I really liked this one. It looks so snuggly and warm and stylish at the same time and it was at 70% off. I had to buy it.
I didn't have a nice black cardigan in my wardrobe. You need to have key basic pieces in your wardrobe. This comes in so handy to layer over blouses and dresses.
These tops are not so winter appropriate but come spring and summer these will be great. Plus they were an absolute steal at 75% off.
Hope you liked this post!!

Hello Everyone,
Today I am reviewing Yves Rocher Provencal Lavandin Roll-On Deodorant for you guys today.
Product Description:
All the pleasure of the aromatic
notes of Provençal Lavandin can be found in this Roll-On Deodorant. This aluminium salts-free formula contains a
botanical deodorant ingredient. Enriched with Organic Aloe Vera, it softly
protects the skin.
Result : a formula that respects the skin.
Price: 4.95 USD
Packaging:
Packaging
is a typical roll on deo packaging. Nothing very special. The lid of the roll
on is easy to twist both on and off and beneath is a transparent plastic ball
which is smooth and glides when touched.

Performance:
I love
Lavender fragrance and when I saw this one in the store this caught my
attention plus it says it has no aluminium salts, alcohol and paraben. The roll on is easy to apply as plastic ball
is quite smooth and just glides on the skin and covers the area evenly. The
liquid is very thin in consistency and comes out clear. As the consistency of this is thin it takes a
while to dry down and if you get dressed immediately after applying it, it gets
rubbed off. Once it dries down you can’t
even feel it except the beautiful scent that lingers on. The deodorant is
transparent and I never had a problem with it causing white marks on clothing.
I hate it when deodorant does that. As I told you earlier I love lavender scent
and this one is no exception to that. I love the smell of it and it feels so
clean and fresh. The deodorant itself is nice and keeps me fresh and dry for
long time but at this point I would like tell you that in general I don’t sweat
much plus I don’t have a problem of body odour so pretty much any deo works for
me. Plus I have not tried it on a hot summer day when I do sweat. But I think
this might not be the one to keep in your gym bag. I like using it everyday
after taking shower and I let it be if I am at home all day but if I am heading
out somewhere I layer it with my Oriflame Nature Secret Lavender and Fig body
spray or a perfume.

The Good:
- Love the fragrance
- Easy to use
- Travel friendly
- Doesn’t stain your clothes
- Has no aluminium and alcohol
- Affordable
The Bad:
- Availability
- Might not be great if you
sweat a lot.
It is a
nice product if you are looking for a deo that is aluminium, alcohol and
paraben free. It has a beautiful fragrance that lingers but is not too overpowering and does not interfere with your perfumes. Might not be the best
option for your gym bag.
Hope you like this post!!

Hello Everyone,
Wish you guys a Very Happy New Year once again. Today I am sharing with you guys few things that I have been testing out.
Here they are:
NYX Above and Beyond Full Coverage Concealer in CJ13 Orange- I
have been wanting to try an under eye corrector for a long time now but I was not
sure if it is going to make a huge difference or not plus I didn’t want to
spend too much money on it. NYX to the rescue. I love this brand they have some
amazing products and are so affordable. I went for the orange one because
sometimes my dark circles get really bad and I wanted something that can cancel
out the darkness effectively. I have used it a couple of times only so will
review it in sometime.
Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara- Wanted
a new mascara and this one was on offer so I picked it up. Plus it says 3D
Volume I want that for my lashes.
Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate –
I bought this long ago, used it a few times and
somehow it got shoved in the drawer and I forgot all about it until recently
when I found it during the clearout. I have started using it again but it has
been a couple of weeks only and I have to use it some more to be sure. But I really
like the way it smells.
Sachajuan Leave in Conditioner – Heard
some nice things about this brand and wanted to try out something. I really
liked that they have a leave in conditioner with a pump. It is so easy to use
plus it smells amazing and the fragrance lingers so your hair smells great all
day long.
Bed Head TIGI After Party – Another
product I heard great reviews on. I have quite a few baby hair and whenever I
style my hair they tend to stick up and do their own thing which annoys me a lot
and I wanted something to get rid of it. This takes care of them for me and I
like it for that and the shine it adds is much appreciated. Will review it
soon.
The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Body Butter – I
wanted a new body butter and I haven’t tried anything from the Argan Oil
Range so I picked this
one up. It says hydration for dry skin and my skin is in dire need of that.
Hope you like this post!!

Today I am reviewing a nail paint that I picked up on one of my grocery shopping trip. This is a fairly new line I think, I could be totally wrong but I took notice of this few months back only. They have nail paints, lipstick, lip glosses and body care products. I wanted to try out something from the line but kept forgetting to do so. This time around I went in with a friend so it was bound to happen . We looked around did a bit of swatching and decided on trying the nail paints first. I picked up two nail paints NP 20 and NP 24. Let see how it fares out.
Packaging:
As far as the packaging is considered it comes in a square glass bottle with black cap.
Nordic Cap of Sweden Star Nails in NP 20 is a dark emerald green shade. The texture of this polish is quite creamy and smooth. Nicely pigmented but two coats are needed
for the perfect look. Have nice glossy finish. Brush is a standard
nail polish brush round and cut straight at top. Not a big fan of the brush. As
far as the staying power is concerned its very good. Without any top coat it stayed strong for three days with slight fading
and minor chipping around the edges and by the end of the fourth day it chipped
a little more but nothing horrendous. Glossy effect stayed good for 2 days but
started wearing of by third day. With a base coat and a top coat the wear time
definitely improves and you can easily get 5-6 days of wear out of it which is
quite impressive. Generally nail paints don’t last that long on me and I was not expecting this one will last this long. I would have been okay if it lasted for even 2-3 days so I am
quite happy with my purchase.
The Good:
- Nicely
Pigmented
- Smooth
and Glossy finish
- Staying
Power
- Nice
shade range
- Not streaky
- Quantity
- Affordable
The Bad:
I am pleasantly surprised with the nail paint and didn't expect it would this good. Some of the more expensive nail polishes didn't last this long on me and this is so inexpensive. I am definitely getting more nail paint shades and will get the lipsticks as well.

This is how it looks on 5th day |

Hello Everyone,
It's 1st of December today. I simply cannot believe it's December already, this year has flown by so quickly and I am having a hard time to come to terms with it. But with December comes the fun times. Party season, loads of shopping and some great time with family and friends. Enough with the rambling let's get started. With yet another month gone, it's time to share the monthly favourites with you guys.
Here they are:

- The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream – My skin has been so dry lately because of the cold weather and my normal moisturiser was simply not enough so I started using this and it has helped a lot in getting rid of the dryness and bringing back the much needed moisture to my skin. Initially I was using it both morning and night but now my skin is a lot better so I use this only at night.
- Yves Rocher Intense Hydrating Mask - This is such a lifesaver. An absolute must product for me. This is so hydrating and gets rid of dry patches almost instantly. My skin simply love this this. If you have dry skin or dry patches should definitely check this out. Read full review here.
- Nueva Lip Balm - My lips are dry and chapped all year round and gets worse in the winters. This time around I went to the pharmacy to get a lip balm and they recommend this one. Never heard of it before but I went ahead and bought it and I quite like it. It has helped a lot in treating my dry chapped lips. It is quite a creamy and heavy feeling balm but it has worked for me and I am so pleased with it.
- Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - This comes as no surprise to me. I like this a lot. Very effective in removing makeup not that great on waterproof mascara. Works great as second cleanse and as a morning cleanser. So convenient and easy to use. Read full review here.
- Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in Pumpkin - I love this palette. The blush shades are so beautiful and all of them are wearable. They look very bright in the pan but they blend so nicely. Packaging is so compact and travel friendly. This is what I have been using for blush the whole month. Read full review here.
- H&M Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Grand Cru - Beautiful champagne gold shade and I have been loving this. It looks so great as an inner corner highlight and I have been using just this since I got it. Perfect for people who love glittery eyeliner and would be great for upcoming festive season. Read full review here.
- NYX Lipliner Pencil in Bloom - It is a bright fuchsia shade, love it. It is one of those shades that instantly brightens up your face and makes you look more lively. Another thing I love about NYX lip liner is they do not dry out my lips. Read the full review here.
So these were my monthly favourites and I hope you liked this favourites post.

Hello Everyone,
Today I am reviewing Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis 109 Cafe St. Germain. I really like the shade and its perfect for fall. Let see how it fares out.
Product Description
Color Riche Le Vernis pampers you with a range of bright, high gloss
nail lacquers. 26 shades for 26 days !
1. In-built Top Coat.
2. Ultra-finely dispersed pigments provide
superior coverage and enhanced colour intensity.
3. Innovative formula with crystal acrylics add
intense clarity to magnify shine.
4. Durable film-forming polymers create
glass-like clarity with 10-day resiliency.
Packaging
As far as the packaging is considered it comes
in a glass bottle with golden cap.
Performance
Loreal Color Riche Le Vernis 109 Cafe St Germain is a taupe shade with brown undertones. The texture of these is creamy and smooth and
quiet easy to apply. Though the texture is creamy it dries fast and you don’t
have to wait much in between the coats which is always good. It is very nicely
pigmented but two coats are required for the perfect look. End result is streak
free, glossy looking nails. I love the brush of these nail paints, amazing; it is longer and wider than usual
brushes and is rounded at the tip. It picks up the right amount of polish and
just glides so effortlessly giving you streak free finish. Onto the part that
matters the most staying power, it slightly chipped off from the tips by the
end of day 2 nothing major but by the end of day 4 it chipped quite badly. I am
not fan of its staying power but I love the color. I think using a nice base
and top coat can definitely improve the staying power.
