Hello Everyone,
Today I am reviewing Essie Nail Polish in Summit of Style for you guys.
Product Description: The luxeffects line is a collection of glitter top
coats that can be worn over any essie nail colour to add some sparkle and
dazzle!
Price: 8.50 USD
Packaging: It comes in a transparent square shaped bottle with a
white cap.
Performance:
Essie Nail
Polish in Summit of Style is a beautiful rose gold sparkle top coat with
perfectly sized hexagon shaped glitter and specks. It looks every bit as
beautiful on the nails as it does in the bottle. The glitter chunks come in
different sizes so you get a nice wash of flecks. The brush is also nice and
long so that helps in even application. This works great over a coloured nail
polish and goes well with almost all the colours. It can be used on its own as
well but you have to layer it up quite a bit and pack that glitter on. It is
chunky enough to look opaque with little base colour peeking through. I like
using it both as a top coat over nail polish or just doing an accent nail where
I really pack on the glitter. Staying power is nice and it lasts for 4- 5 days
easily and removing it is also not that difficult.
The Good
- Gorgeous shade
- Nice brush
- Creamy Formula
- Smooth and shiny finish
- Nicely pigmented
- You get lot of product
The Bad
- Not that easily available
- Staying power, not a fan.
I really
like this glittery top coat and the colour is so different from the usual gold
and silver. If you are someone who likes glitter nail polish then you should
definitely try this one out.
Hope you
liked this post!!

Hello
Everyone,
Today I am
reviewing Zoya Nail Polish in Elisa for
you guys. I really like this shade it is a bit different from your usual reds. Let
see how it fares out.
Product Description:
Elisa by
Zoya can be best described as a bright, shining medium crimson red with subtle
gold shimmer and a glowing metallic finish. The smooth, glowy metallic finish
gives this bright red an extra kick.
Colour Family - Red
Finish - Metallic
Intensity - 5 (1 = Sheer - 5 = Opaque)
Tone - Cool
Price: $10
Performance:
Zoya Nail Polish in Elisa is a crimson
red with golden shimmer in it but the shimmer is very subtle. It looks like
Christmas in a bottle. Texture of this is so creamy and smooth and so easy to
apply. Though the texture is creamy it dries fast and you don’t have to wait
much in between the coats which is always good. It is richly pigmented but I
always go for two coats to get the perfect look. End result is streak free,
glossy looking nails. It has a standard brush round and cut straight at the top
but this one doesn’t suck. It picked up the right amount of polish and gave
streak free finish. Onto the part that matters the most staying power, it
slightly chipped off from the tips by the end of day 2 nothing major but by the
end of day 4 it chipped quite badly. I am not fan of its staying power but I
love the colour. I think a nice base and top coat can definitely improve the
staying power.
The Good
- Gorgeous shade
- Nice brush
- Creamy Formula
- Smooth and shiny finish
- Nicely pigmented
- You get lot of product
The Bad
- Not that easily available
- Staying power, not a fan.

Today I am reviewing a nail paint that I picked up on one of my grocery shopping trip. This is a fairly new line I think, I could be totally wrong but I took notice of this few months back only. They have nail paints, lipstick, lip glosses and body care products. I wanted to try out something from the line but kept forgetting to do so. This time around I went in with a friend so it was bound to happen . We looked around did a bit of swatching and decided on trying the nail paints first. I picked up two nail paints NP 20 and NP 24. Let see how it fares out.
Packaging:
As far as the packaging is considered it comes in a square glass bottle with black cap.
Nordic Cap of Sweden Star Nails in NP 20 is a dark emerald green shade. The texture of this polish is quite creamy and smooth. Nicely pigmented but two coats are needed
for the perfect look. Have nice glossy finish. Brush is a standard
nail polish brush round and cut straight at top. Not a big fan of the brush. As
far as the staying power is concerned its very good. Without any top coat it stayed strong for three days with slight fading
and minor chipping around the edges and by the end of the fourth day it chipped
a little more but nothing horrendous. Glossy effect stayed good for 2 days but
started wearing of by third day. With a base coat and a top coat the wear time
definitely improves and you can easily get 5-6 days of wear out of it which is
quite impressive. Generally nail paints don’t last that long on me and I was not expecting this one will last this long. I would have been okay if it lasted for even 2-3 days so I am
quite happy with my purchase.
The Good:
- Nicely
Pigmented
- Smooth
and Glossy finish
- Staying
Power
- Nice
shade range
- Not streaky
- Quantity
- Affordable
The Bad:
I am pleasantly surprised with the nail paint and didn't expect it would this good. Some of the more expensive nail polishes didn't last this long on me and this is so inexpensive. I am definitely getting more nail paint shades and will get the lipsticks as well.

Performance
L'oreal Color Riche Le Vernis 404 Scarlet Vamp is a red shade with pink undertones. On camera it doesn't seem so but in person it's more visible. A bit different .The texture is creamy and smooth and
quiet easy to apply. Though the texture is creamy it dries fast and you don’t
have to wait much in between the coats which is always good. It is very nicely
pigmented but two coats are required for the perfect look. End result is streak
free, glossy looking nails. I simply love the brush of these polishes. Its long, wide and round at the edges. It picks up the right amount of polish and
just glides so effortlessly giving you streak free finish. Onto the part that
matters the most staying power, it slightly chipped off from the tips by the
end of day 2 nothing major but by the end of day 4 it chipped quite badly. I am
not fan of its staying power but I love the color. I think using a nice base
and top coat can definitely improve the staying power.

Today I am
reviewing another nail paint from Avon. It
is Avon Nailwear Pro in Loving Lavender. This year I have been really loving purple/lavender shades and this is another addition to my list. Let's see how this one fares out.
Product
Description:
Contains
dura plus complex & gelatin for flexibility. Finish on nails is resistant
to chipping.
Price: 2.27
USD
Performance:
Loving Lavender is a pretty pastel purple colour. The brush is a standard nail polish brush round and straight cut at
top. Formula wise they are quite creamy and smooth but they do get streaky and
in my opinion it has more to do with the brush than the formula of the nail
paint. It is nicely pigmented considering it is a pastel shade; you just need
two coats for the perfect look. On its own the staying power is pretty average,
it stayed good for two days with slight fading and chipping along the sides but
by the end of fourth day it chipped pretty badly. With a base and top coat it
lasted nicely for five days with minor chipping along the edges. I think with
these nail paints a base and top coat is a must.
The Good:
- Affordable
- Nice colour selection
- Pigmented
- Nice formula
The Bad:
- Can get streaky
- Availability could be an
issue
- Average staying power
I love this shade a lot and the way it looks on my nails. I know that this gets
streaky and the staying power is not that amazing but still I like it.
Streakiness is not visible until you are looking up close and with top coat it
is hardly visible. These are quite affordable and are on offers quite often. I
am definitely going to get other shades from this range.

A while
ago in anticipation of warmer weather I bought a few bright coloured nail
paints from Avon. This year I am going for fun
bright shades and I thought of sharing my picks with you guys.
Avon Nailwear Pro+ in Mulberry
– It is a berry pinkish shade and probably not so summery shade but I quite
like it and it looks nice on the toes.
Avon Nailwear Pro in Loving Lavender
– My love for purple still going strong.
Avon Nailwear Pro in Fuchsia
– It is bright pink shade, I usually shy away from such shades but this time I
thought I would give it a go and guess what I like it. It looks good on toes as
well.
Avon Nailwear Pro in Aqua Fantasy
– Perfect mint green shade and I have nothing like this in my stash. I think
this is going to be my favourite of the lot.
Avon Nailwear Pro in Sweet Mint
– I am not sure about this shade and it is completely out of my comfort zone.
But something about this shade made me pick it up. Let see how it goes.
Hope you
guys liked this post!

Performance:
Maxfactor Glossfinity
Nail Polish in 130 Lilac Lace is a more purple shade than lilac. The textures of these are creamy,
smooth and just glide on your nails. Nicely pigmented but two coats are needed
for the perfect look. You get streak free, glossy looking nails. Brush is a
standard nail polish brush round and cut straight at top. Not a big fan of the
brush.

As far the staying power is concerned its quite good but on me it did
not last for 7 days. Without any top coat it stayed strong for three days with
slight fading and minor chipping around the edges and by the end of the fourth
day it chipped a little more but nothing horrendous. Glossy effect stayed good
for 2 days but started wearing of by third day. With a base coat and a top coat
the wear time definitely improves and you can easily get 5 -6 days of wear out
of it which is quite impressive. Generally nail paints don’t last that long on
me so I am quite happy with this one and can go on for almost a week with out
switching nail paints. Ohh I wish all the nail paints lasted atleast this long.
Life will be so easy. I for sure will be checking out other shades from this
range.
The Good:
- Nicely pigmented
- Smooth
and glossy finish
- Good staying power
- Nice
shade range
- Doesn't streak
- Quantity
The Bad:
- Not
a fan of the brush
- Wish
it lasted for 7 days as the product claims.
