Hello Everyone,
It's been a while and I haven't posted
anything on the blog. Life took over and one thing after the other kept me away
from my blog. But I am getting back into blogging and hope to keep up with
regular posts and updates.
In this post I am sharing with you guys
few of the things I picked up recently.
- Tangle Teezer – This is a repurchase. A
really great one if you have knotty hair. Not a great fan of its shape but
it gets the job done for me. Though I would like to try out the wet brush
but it is a bit difficult to get hold of.
- Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – Another product which needs no introduction. I tried this few years
ago but didn’t like it that much and thought it was way too time consuming
in respect to foundation brush. But this time around I have fallen in love
with it. Yes it takes a bit more time to blend but the results are way
better and finish it gives looks way more natural. Love it. If you haven’t
tried it yet do give it a try.
- Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Serum – Have read a lot of great reviews about this one and I was on a look
for a new serum so picked it up.
- Yves Rocher Nutritive Vegetal Velvety Ultra Rich Cleanser – I like gentle cleansers and Cetaphil cleanser is one of my
favourite and I have been using it for a very long-time now. So I wanted
to try something new. Yves Rocher is one of my favourite skincare brands
and their products have never disappointed me. Hope this one lives up to
expectations.
- Yves Rocher Sensitive Vegetal Soothing Mist – Who doesn’t love facial mists and I am no different. And as soon
as I saw it is for sensitive skin and is a soothing mist I was sold. Have
tried it a couple of times and really liked the feel of it and found it
moisturising as well.
Hope you liked this post!!

Today I am reviewing a nail paint that I picked up on one of my grocery shopping trip. This is a fairly new line I think, I could be totally wrong but I took notice of this few months back only. They have nail paints, lipstick, lip glosses and body care products. I wanted to try out something from the line but kept forgetting to do so. This time around I went in with a friend so it was bound to happen . We looked around did a bit of swatching and decided on trying the nail paints first. I picked up two nail paints NP 20 and NP 24. Let see how it fares out.
Packaging:
As far as the packaging is considered it comes in a square glass bottle with black cap.
Nordic Cap of Sweden Star Nails in NP 20 is a dark emerald green shade. The texture of this polish is quite creamy and smooth. Nicely pigmented but two coats are needed
for the perfect look. Have nice glossy finish. Brush is a standard
nail polish brush round and cut straight at top. Not a big fan of the brush. As
far as the staying power is concerned its very good. Without any top coat it stayed strong for three days with slight fading
and minor chipping around the edges and by the end of the fourth day it chipped
a little more but nothing horrendous. Glossy effect stayed good for 2 days but
started wearing of by third day. With a base coat and a top coat the wear time
definitely improves and you can easily get 5-6 days of wear out of it which is
quite impressive. Generally nail paints don’t last that long on me and I was not expecting this one will last this long. I would have been okay if it lasted for even 2-3 days so I am
quite happy with my purchase.
The Good:
- Nicely
Pigmented
- Smooth
and Glossy finish
- Staying
Power
- Nice
shade range
- Not streaky
- Quantity
- Affordable
The Bad:
I am pleasantly surprised with the nail paint and didn't expect it would this good. Some of the more expensive nail polishes didn't last this long on me and this is so inexpensive. I am definitely getting more nail paint shades and will get the lipsticks as well.

Hello Everyone,
KIKO Milano recently opened up a new store in our city and I was so so excited that finally I have access to KIKO products. Heard so many good things about this brand and I wanted to try it for the longest time. I know I could order it online but somehow I never did it. But once I knew they were opening a store here I was literally counting days and making a list of what all stuff I wanted to buy. I wanted to get more stuff but the store was quite crowded that day and I managed to pick up few bits only but I am really happy with the stuff I picked up.
Here's what I got:
- Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation in WB 90 - I am a ardent follower of youtuber Lily Pebbles and she has recommended this on her channel a while ago. It is a light base which is great for daily wear and is a hydrating formula. I have got shade Warm Beige 90. It looks ok but I haven't tried it so can't say much but I am really looking forward to try it out.
- Precision Eyebrow Pencil in 01 – I wanted to get a new eyebrow pencil and as I was in the store I picked this one up. I usually get brown shades but SA in the store suggested shade 01 which is a greyish taupe shade. I really like how slim the pencil is and has a very fine tip. Real easy to work with.
- Long Lasting Stick 8 Hour No Transfer Eyeshadow in 05 and 06 – Heard so many good things about these eyeshadow sticks and I really wanted to get them. But there are so many shades to choose from and I wanted to get so many but I finally narrowed it down to two shades 05 and 06.
- Soft Touch Blush in 105 – While I was browsing through the store I saw the blush display and was immediately drawn to it they have really nice shade selection. I clearly don't need anymore blush but I couldn't help myself and I got one. Shade 105 is such a pretty dusty rose shade and I don't have anything like this. I usually gravitate towards more pink and corally shades.

Hello
Everyone,
After I
did my first empties I was so proud of myself to finish up quite a few things and
thought it would take me quite a while to do another post like this because I
get bored easily and switch to new things but I have been good and stuck to
finishing up stuff that I am using and here I am again with yet another empties
post. So let’s see what all products I managed to finish up this time around.
Here they
are:
*Please excuse not so good photo.
- Eucerin Sun Lotion Extra Light SPF 30 – It has high UVA/UVB protection and is water resistant. It is a nice
product and I prefer to use it for my body and not my face. They say it is
an extra light but I find it quite heavy to use on the face and gives a
greasy look. It is a nice product and I liked when I used it but not a fan
in particular. I would not buy it again because there are so many options
in the market to try out.
- No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm – I
thought it would be a balm but it’s not it is thick cream cleanser and feels like using a cleansing
milk but thicker. It is very effective in removing the makeup and works on
waterproof mascara as well. Doesn’t sting or irritate my eyes. It is thick
and creamy so oily skin people might not like but dry skin gals will like
it. But it leaves a slight residue behind after cleansing which I
personally don’t mind because I double cleanse and usually use a face wash
or Garnier micellar water after using this. This is quite moisturising and
even after using face wash my face doesn’t feel dry or stretchy.
- Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover – It is a bi-phase eye makeup remover. Great product and very
affordable. It removes waterproof mascara easily and quickly. Just pour on
the cotton pad and hold over your eyes for few seconds and your done. No
rubbing or tugging is required. Doesn’t irritate or burn my eyes. Definite
repurchase.
- L'oreal Triple Active Comfort Gentle Toner for Dry and Sensitive
Skin – Its consistency is quite thick in comparison to
other toners. This is a very gentle and hydrating toner. Doesn’t have
alcohol. I am not that particular about using toners and it is not a must
step for me in skincare. But I am open to try something which interests
me.
- Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion for Sensitive Skin – A very gentle cleanser that is great for dry and sensitive skin gals.
It doesn’t dry out my skin or leave it feeling stretchy post washing. Not
the best to remove the full face of makeup with but a nice option for
second cleanse or a morning cleanser. I like using it as a morning
cleanser. I have used it for a long time now and always have this in my
cabinet. If you are looking for
a gentle cleanser and don’t want to shell out too much money then try this
out.
- L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin – I have to admit I
bought this one because of the cute little rubbery scrubber that comes with
it and I love it, it is so handy and I use it all the time with other face
washes as well. It is a nice face wash. Lathers up nicely and a little goes a long way. It
leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean which is good thing but I have notice
that post wash my skin feels a bit stretchy and I have this urge to apply
my moisturiser/cream immediately. But once I am done with
moisturiser/cream it feels normal again.
If that’s something you are not comfortable with then try something
else. Not going to repurchase, I want to try something else.
- Body Scrub – I picked this up from one of
the grocery stores. It is there in house brand. It is a cream based body
scrub. I am so used to using body polishes that I missed the soapy
element. Smells like pomegranate. I found it a bit harsh for my liking and
ended up using it as a foot scrub. Not going to repurchase.
- Nivea Deo – I prefer using roll on during
travel. They are much easier to
carry around and are compact in size. It was ok nothing special. Worked
fine for 6-7 hours after which I felt like reapplying it. Now I have one
from Yves Rocher.
- Garnier Fructis Nutri Repair 3 Mask – Not a
fan it didn’t do much for my hair. I expected it to nourish my hair and
control the frizz but it was not that effective. It did provide some shine
and my hair felt soft at touch but the effect was not that long lasting.
Not a repurchase.
I hope you
like this post!!
