Hello Everyone,
It's been a while and I haven't posted
anything on the blog. Life took over and one thing after the other kept me away
from my blog. But I am getting back into blogging and hope to keep up with
regular posts and updates.
In this post I am sharing with you guys
few of the things I picked up recently.
- Tangle Teezer – This is a repurchase. A
really great one if you have knotty hair. Not a great fan of its shape but
it gets the job done for me. Though I would like to try out the wet brush
but it is a bit difficult to get hold of.
- Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – Another product which needs no introduction. I tried this few years
ago but didn’t like it that much and thought it was way too time consuming
in respect to foundation brush. But this time around I have fallen in love
with it. Yes it takes a bit more time to blend but the results are way
better and finish it gives looks way more natural. Love it. If you haven’t
tried it yet do give it a try.
- Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Serum – Have read a lot of great reviews about this one and I was on a look
for a new serum so picked it up.
- Yves Rocher Nutritive Vegetal Velvety Ultra Rich Cleanser – I like gentle cleansers and Cetaphil cleanser is one of my
favourite and I have been using it for a very long-time now. So I wanted
to try something new. Yves Rocher is one of my favourite skincare brands
and their products have never disappointed me. Hope this one lives up to
expectations.
- Yves Rocher Sensitive Vegetal Soothing Mist – Who doesn’t love facial mists and I am no different. And as soon
as I saw it is for sensitive skin and is a soothing mist I was sold. Have
tried it a couple of times and really liked the feel of it and found it
moisturising as well.

Hello Everyone,
It has been a while that I did an empties post. I haven't managed to finish a whole lot during this time because I have been using different products and not sticking to any particular ones. Sharing with you guys whatever I have managed to finish.
Here they are:
- Dove Hair Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo - I really liked this shampoo. It cleansed nicely and did not stripe
my hair of all the moisture. Infact it made my hair soft and manageable.
This was an 80 ml bottle and once it got over I bought the big one and I have
to say I don’t like it. It’s the same product just different size but the
new one makes my hair dry and frizzy.
- Yves Rocher Redberries Exfoliating Shower Gel – It smells really nice and the smell lingers on for a while. But it
was a limited edition product so this not available anymore otherwise I
would have bought it again. It is gentle enough to be used daily. Full

- The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter – This has been my skin saviour this winter and it smells amazing. The
scent is pretty strong and it lingers on for a while so if you have
sensitive nose then you might not like this. I will definitely buy this in winters.
- Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion – I
have even lost count of how many of these I have used over time. These are
a staple in my stash. Works great for dry/sensitive skin and keeps my skin
hydrated. I get in a 100ml bottle so they are great for travels as well.
- Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisture Boost Concentrate – I really loved this serum. It is so hydrating and moisturising and
my skin really loves it. If you have dry dehydrated skin then you should
definitely try this one out. Full review here. I will repurchase it but before that I want to try the Vichy Hydrating Serum. Read some great reviews about it.
- Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara – I
have read some nice reviews about this one and bought it because of the
volume claims but this did not work out for me and then it dried out with
in month’s time. Not impressed. Full review here.

Today I am reviewing Yves Rocher Provencal Lavandin Roll-On Deodorant for you guys today.
Product Description:
All the pleasure of the aromatic
notes of Provençal Lavandin can be found in this Roll-On Deodorant. This aluminium salts-free formula contains a
botanical deodorant ingredient. Enriched with Organic Aloe Vera, it softly
protects the skin.
Result : a formula that respects the skin.
Price: 4.95 USD
Packaging:
Packaging
is a typical roll on deo packaging. Nothing very special. The lid of the roll
on is easy to twist both on and off and beneath is a transparent plastic ball
which is smooth and glides when touched.
Performance:
I love
Lavender fragrance and when I saw this one in the store this caught my
attention plus it says it has no aluminium salts, alcohol and paraben. The roll on is easy to apply as plastic ball
is quite smooth and just glides on the skin and covers the area evenly. The
liquid is very thin in consistency and comes out clear. As the consistency of this is thin it takes a
while to dry down and if you get dressed immediately after applying it, it gets
rubbed off. Once it dries down you can’t
even feel it except the beautiful scent that lingers on. The deodorant is
transparent and I never had a problem with it causing white marks on clothing.
I hate it when deodorant does that. As I told you earlier I love lavender scent
and this one is no exception to that. I love the smell of it and it feels so
clean and fresh. The deodorant itself is nice and keeps me fresh and dry for
long time but at this point I would like tell you that in general I don’t sweat
much plus I don’t have a problem of body odour so pretty much any deo works for
me. Plus I have not tried it on a hot summer day when I do sweat. But I think
this might not be the one to keep in your gym bag. I like using it everyday
after taking shower and I let it be if I am at home all day but if I am heading
out somewhere I layer it with my Oriflame Nature Secret Lavender and Fig body
spray or a perfume.
The Good:
- Love the fragrance
- Easy to use
- Travel friendly
- Doesn’t stain your clothes
- Has no aluminium and alcohol
- Affordable
The Bad:
- Availability
- Might not be great if you
sweat a lot.
It is a
nice product if you are looking for a deo that is aluminium, alcohol and
paraben free. It has a beautiful fragrance that lingers but is not too overpowering and does not interfere with your perfumes. Might not be the best
option for your gym bag.

Hello Everyone,
It's 1st of December today. I simply cannot believe it's December already, this year has flown by so quickly and I am having a hard time to come to terms with it. But with December comes the fun times. Party season, loads of shopping and some great time with family and friends. Enough with the rambling let's get started. With yet another month gone, it's time to share the monthly favourites with you guys.
Here they are:
- The Body Shop Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream – My skin has been so dry lately because of the cold weather and my normal moisturiser was simply not enough so I started using this and it has helped a lot in getting rid of the dryness and bringing back the much needed moisture to my skin. Initially I was using it both morning and night but now my skin is a lot better so I use this only at night.
- Yves Rocher Intense Hydrating Mask - This is such a lifesaver. An absolute must product for me. This is so hydrating and gets rid of dry patches almost instantly. My skin simply love this this. If you have dry skin or dry patches should definitely check this out. Read full review here.
- Nueva Lip Balm - My lips are dry and chapped all year round and gets worse in the winters. This time around I went to the pharmacy to get a lip balm and they recommend this one. Never heard of it before but I went ahead and bought it and I quite like it. It has helped a lot in treating my dry chapped lips. It is quite a creamy and heavy feeling balm but it has worked for me and I am so pleased with it.
- Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - This comes as no surprise to me. I like this a lot. Very effective in removing makeup not that great on waterproof mascara. Works great as second cleanse and as a morning cleanser. So convenient and easy to use. Read full review here.
- Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in Pumpkin - I love this palette. The blush shades are so beautiful and all of them are wearable. They look very bright in the pan but they blend so nicely. - H&M Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Grand Cru - Beautiful champagne gold shade and I have been loving this. It looks so great as an inner corner highlight and I have been using just this since I got it. Perfect for people who love glittery eyeliner and would be great for upcoming festive season. - NYX Lipliner Pencil in Bloom - It is a bright fuchsia shade, love it. It is one of those shades that instantly brightens up your face and makes you look more lively. Another thing I love about NYX lip liner is they do not dry out my lips. Read the full review here.

This month
I have not been regular with my posts. I took a week off in the beginning of
this month and when I came back I got sick hence fewer posts. Hopefully
everything will get back on track soon. That’s the update from my end. Moving
on with today’s post I am reviewing Yves Rocher Redberries Exfoliating Shower Gel which I hauled a while back here.
Product Description: An
ultra-sensory daily exfoliating shower gel fragranced with Redberries. Offer elegant Redberry pleasures! Enriched with Organic Cornflower Water and Kiwi Seeds,
this delightful Shower Gel gently exfoliates the skin. Its formula leaves the
skin perfectly clean and smelling like sparkling Redberries.
The Plus: thanks to a formula containing 100% natural exfoliating fruit seeds,
it can be used daily. Paraben
free.
Packaging: It comes in clear squeeze tube with a flip top cap
which shuts tight. Has a pretty redberries picture on it with product name
written in golden, nothing to fancy. It is quite bulky and not that travel
friendly.

Performance: Yves Rocher Redberries
Exfoliating Shower Gel smells sweet and
it smells exactly like berries. Out of curiosity I asked my friend who had no
idea about this product to do the smell test she said it smells like sweet
berries slush. I like more zingy and citrusy smell in my shower products this
is a bit different from what I usually go for and I quite like it. Fragrance
lingers on for quite a while on my body. It has cornflower water and kiwi seeds
in it. Kiwi seeds act as exfoliants. It is a mild exfoliating shower gel which
can be used daily. It is not a full on scrub but more on lines of Oriflames Nature Secrets Exfoliating Shower Gel reviewed
here. So if you are someone who
likes proper scrubs then you will be disappointed. I have very sensitive skin
so I don’t prefer harsh exfoliation. Consistency of this is quiet runny so you
have to be careful otherwise you end up with more than you require. It doesn’t
lathers up like a normal shower gel but it does lathers up and gently
exfoliates the body. Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, doesn’t irritate or
dry out the skin. You won’t mark a difference right away but with regular usage
texture of the skin improves, it feels softer and smoother and body
creams/lotion sink in better.
The Good:

The Bad:
It smells
nice and is easy to use. You don’t need separate products, saves up on time and
with regular usage texture of skin improves. Biggest plus is it doesn’t
irritate my skin. It gets big thumbs up from me.
